Movin' on Up

No! We are not moving yet. Hopefully in the NEAR future!
But:

This big boy is movin' on up to size 2 diapers.

We are movin' on up from video taping Jackson with our digital camera to actually having a camcorder. We got a red Sony handycam, I LOVE it! Maybe I will actually post a video of Jackson sometime soon:)

Home Bound

I am still without my Jeep and we had lots of rain Friday and today, so Jackson and I spent the week hanging out at home. We spent the week taking walks, playing with his activity gym, and cuddling. Jackson took some naps and while he did that I worked on my homework for my masters calss. This research class is quite tough and a lot of work. This week he has slept 7 hours straight for me at night. I have got some much needed sleep, I am hoping this pattern will continue when I go back to school. Not much new news on our house situation. Our house is still for sale and we are still looking for "the" house! Please continue to pray that we can sell our house. Here are some pictures from the week:)

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a great Easter. Jackson looked very handsome if I do say so myself:) We went to church Easter morning and had lunch at my aunt's house. The morning was rainy but the afternoon was beautiful so we were able to get out and take a walk. Jackson got lots of goodies in his Easter basket:) Brian made Jackson's Easter basket. I think it turned out nicely!

Chubby Bunny

When my mom was still here we took Garrison, Katelyn, and Jackson to see the Easter Bunny. Needless to say, Katelyn didn't want anything to do with the bunny and Garrison had to be bribed to sit on his lap. Jackson was a champ! He slept through the whole thing.

Jackson is our Chubby Bunny! At his two week appt. he weighed 9lb 5oz and then when we went back at one month they told us he only weighed 8lb 12 oz. We were very surprised because when Brian stepped on the scale with him at home it went up 12lbs. We told the doctor we thought he weighed more but because she was sick and a different doctor saw him at two weeks she said that weight was wrong. We took matters into our own hands and bought a baby scale from Target to weigh him. Jackson weighed in at 12lbs 7oz with clothes on. So, maybe they read the doctor's scale backwards and he actually was 12lbs 8oz. He is trying to be as big as his cousin Ian:)

A big CONGRATS to Brenda and Todd on the birth of their son. We are so excited he is here and healthy. We can't wait to meet him, hopefully this summer!

Good Friday

Jackson smiles all the time, but we have never captured it on the camera!

Jackson is smiling because he knows Jesus loves him enough to be beaten and shamed to death on a cross to save him from his sins (and everyone). I miss seeing The Promise every year. I love to really stop and think about what Jesus did for us and what it means for us as Christians. Thank you Jesus!

Peace and Amazement

PEACE
Throughout my whole pregnancy and now God has given me a great sense of his peace and joy. My prayer has been for him to work in me and that I learn to wait on him. I am less worried, more relaxed, and have learned to put my full trust in Him. He always provides a way even if it is not what I wanted or would have suspected. I know I am going to need to lean on Him and use this peace when I have to leave Jackson and go back to school.
I repeat this verse in my head many times a day. Isaiah 26:3 "The Lord gives perfect peace to those who put their trust in HIM."
AMAZEMENT-There are many things that amaze me.
-I can't believe that my baby is 5 weeks old, weighs 8 pounds 12 oz, and is 23 inches long.
-I can't believe that I only have 2 more full weeks at home with him:(
-I can't believe that I lost all my baby weight!
-I cant' believe that I only have 2 more classes before I have my Masters Degree (a lot harder to do with a baby).
-I can't believe that even though I am home all day I really don't get much done, playing with Jackson is more fun:)
-I can't believe how much laundry a little boy can create in one week.
-I can't believe how much I love that same little boy!
-I can't believe how much I miss Brian during the day. I love watching him with Jackson:)
-I can't believe how blessed I am!!
Luke 1:49, "for the Mighty One has done great things for me!"
And of course some pictures of Jackson:)

Good News and Bad News

I will start with the Good News...
Brian got a full time job at the same hospital he is currently working as part-time. One of the doctors likes him so much he called the CEO of the hospital and told her they needed to create a full-time position for him so he wouldn't leave. So, Texas Orthropedic Hospital now has the best X-ray tech:) Way to go Brian, I am proud of you for working so hard!

More Good News... Jackson slept 6 hours last night:)

AND the Bad News...
We got in an accident yesterday. Brian ran into the back of a truck, which hit the truck in front of him, which hit the car in front of him. Everyone is ok, but my Jeep has looked better:) Well, good thing God provided Brian with a job the day before!
