A Busy Week!

I started school. The week was long, but it went well! I am looking foward to the year with my students. It is an adjustment for me because I am used to teaching everything and now I am just teaching Language Arts. I love it! It is great getting to teach what you love twice and my 8 minutes drive is so nice!:) I don't dread the afternoons anymore, that is when I used to teach math and science. God is SO Good!

We also bought me a new car. I got a Jeep Liberty Sport and am liking it so far. Now pray we can sell Brian's 96 Camry. All the pictures are for my dad so he doesn't have to stop anyone else at Wal-Mart! Love you Dad!

Quick Update

My summer is officially over! Not that I mind, I love teaching and can't wait to meet my students for the year. I have been busy setting up my classroom (I'll post some pics later).

I am at 10 1/2 weeks and today we heard the heartbeat for the first time. It was 164 bpm and then my doctor did a free ultrasound in the clinic. I really found an awesome doctor. Brian saw the baby move it's hand, I missed it. But, the baby was really active rolling all around. I can't wait to feel it. Thanks for all your prayers!

Brian's Weekend Projects

Brian recovered quickly from getting his wisdom teeth pulled. Praise God for not much pain and no swelling!

So, he was able to spend the weekend working.

First- finish 2 electrical panels by Sunday. A lady from TSCI (where he used to work) contacted him about making some panels out of our home for a set price. Our spare bedroom is taken up completely by these panels, 11 to be exact.

Here is what the finished product looks like:

Second- construct a new entertainment center for our new 50 inch TV (I'm pretty sure this was better then doing the panels)!
My TV in my workout room lost its sound. Let me tell you working out and trying to read close captioning is not fun. Instead of getting a new TV for in there, we moved the one from the living room into the workout room and bought a new one for the living. Very logical, of course!

Can you tell a difference?

I spent most of the weekend watching the Olympics! I love watching Amercian athletes compete, I get so excited for them. I even get goosebumps when they win and the National Anthem is played at a medal cereonmy. Anyone else like this??

Please Pray!

Please pray for Brian tomorrow as he will be getting his wisdom teeth taken out. He will not be put out because he is getting them out at the dentist office by our dentist. It is a lot cheaper and the dentist said it shouldn't be too bad! So please just pray all will go well and that he wouldn't be in too much pain. (And not too demanding of his nurse!)

8 Weeks!

I've only been pregnant 8 weeks, it seems much longer than that. I have been super tired. I go to bed around 10-10:30 and sleep till about 9 o'clock and then take several little naps duirng the day and I have eaten more chips and fries then I can count. If you know me this is NOT normal!

Can you tell a difference? I can fell a difference in my clothes and especially my bra! From week 4.5 to 6.5 I gained 1 pound. I don't weigh myself at home, so I will have to wait for a weigh-in at my 10 week check up.
Please pray that I will have energy (I'm back on contract for school in 2 weeks), and continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy and baby. Thanks so much!


Psalm 125: 1-2 "Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people both now and forever"

I read this verse the other day and was again awestruck at the ways of our Lord. I take such comfort in knowing that God surrounds and holds me firm and secure each day. I can conquer anything with him because He is my shield, conqueror, and strong tower.
