Easter 2013

"Alive! Alive!
Look what Mercy’s overcome;
Death has lost and Love has won.
 Alive! Alive!
 Hallelujah, Risen Lord,
the only One I fall before
I am His because He is alive.
 Alive!"
So thankful for a Savior who paid the price for our sins and is Alive today!
Happy Easter!

30 Weeks

Cravings: Mandarin oranges

Sleep: Starting to get a bit uncomfortable

Symptoms: Still feeling good, crazy gums

Movement: Lots and lots, feel lots of little feet in my ribs

Maternity clothes: Yes (still some mix and match)

Size of baby: Cabbage, about 15.7 inches and Baby Center says 3 pounds, but Lincoln is already 3 pounds 13 ounces according to our latest ultrasound (that measures about 31 weeks)

Gender: Boy, Lincoln Wayne

What I miss: Not much, maybe a good workout

Best moment of last week: Seeing Lincoln's sweet face

 Pictures from our 3D ultrasound:

I think he has the same nose as Jackson.

Comparison picture at 30 weeks.
I have gained about 2 or 3 more pounds at this point with Lincoln than Jackson.

So thankful all is going well and thank you for your prayers.

A Perfect Balance

This weekend was a perfect balance of fun, household duties, and relaxing.

Friday night we met some friends for dinner at Willie's and enjoyed the beautiful weather out on the patio.
Saturday morning it was just Jackson and me. Since all he wants to do lately is play, that is what we did (in between throwing in and folding several loads of laundry). We played pirates, cars, trains, kitchen, and tricks; Jackson's made up games.
My awesome 4 track train track!
After lunch on Saturday, we headed up to my school for the Spring Festival. Jackson enjoyed the bounce house and playing several games. Not so sure about everyone coming up and saying hi:)
Lots of playing and relaxing the rest of the day.

Sunday morning we made a quick, chilly trip to the park. I love this boy and his dad! Brian gets him laughing so hard that Jackson forgets to breathe.
We made a quick trip to the Easter Bunny per Jackson's request. While we were there Bass Pro had an Easter Egg hunt, so Jackson joined in on the fun!
We wrapped up our weekend with a great Easter communion service at Church. I am so thankful God chose to send Jesus to redeem us from our sin.

"For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect." 1 Peter 1:18-19

4 Year Old Well Check

Over Spring Break, we knocked out Jackson's 4 year old appointment.
His stats: 44 3/4 inches tall; off the charts
44 pounds; 93%
Passed vision and hearing screening, and Dr. Arthur confirmed his silliness!
I prepped him before hand that he might have to get a few shots. It ended up being three. He was a champ; no screaming and no tears!
What does a well behaved, brave, healthy boy get after those shots? A lunch date with Mommy to McDonald's (his choice).
We are so thankful for our healthy little big boy!

Rodeo Time

Wednesday morning Jackson and I were picked up by Aunt Midge, and we headed downtown to go to the Rodeo.
We got there early so there were no crowds going through the Live Stock building.
Jackson and I milking the cow on Fun at the Farm. Jackson was better than me!
Planting a tomato seed
Jackson got his first experience of pig races. There were 3 different races and each time the announcer asked for a cheerleader from each section. Jackson was disappoint each time the guy didn't pick him. Before the last race, he stood up on the bleachers and raised both arms. He got picked. Thank you, Jesus!
 And, his pig won!
Jackson earned a pig nose and a pack of Oreo cookies. He was beyond excited!
When the carnival first opened, the crowd was still minimal.
Jackson and Aaron rode several rides.
The crowd grew and grew. Holding hands were a must!
We had bought value pass tickets online and the boys each had 75 tickets. The rides were all half priced,  and they had quite a few tickets left to spend. The lines were ridiculously long for the rides, so the boys spent the rest of their tickets on games. We found one were you won every time. Needless to say Jackson brought home a lot of stuffed animals and a light savor.
Another fun day with my boy! I am loving this time off.
We ended our day driving tractors. Jackson could have spent an hour here. He is in heaven when there are tractors or gators around!
Riding the tram back to the car.
After two days of walking around at Sea World and one day at the Rodeo, this pregnant Momma was apparently exhausted. I fell asleep on the couch at 8:45.

But, wouldn't trade the time with my sweet boy for anything!
