Houston SNOW

Can you believe it SNOWED in Houston???
Neither can we!!!

The boys were so excited to wake up Friday (December 8th) to a snow covered lawn!

We threw a few snowballs and made a snowman before we got too cold! :)

Beautiful drive to work that morning!!

And a little SNOW fun at school!

It was the perfect amount of snow, and we had the best time enjoying our Houston miracle!

Thanksgiving Break: Snow

Before we left for our trip, Jackson told everyone that he was going to go sledding. We weren't sure that would happen, but it snowed several days while we were there.

Garrison taught him the correct way to shovel.

Papa Mel made sledding a reality the night before we left. The kids went sledding down the front yard several times.
And... you have to make a snowman!
Lincoln (or maybe it was me) wasn't a fan of bundling up everywhere we went.
This red cup was needed more than ever to stay warm!
Just a few things from our trip I want to remember that Jackson said:
"Mom, I saw Lily and she is big now."
"Dad, I am going to snore loud in mom's ear like Papa Gary does to Grandma."
"Mom, let's go fast (to the restroom) to beat time." (he didn't want to miss our flight)

Winter Wonderland

Sunday morning we were able to go to church where we grew up going.
Dec. 30-1
After church Jackson got ready to go sledding. Since we left for WI, that is all he had been talking about.
Dec. 30-3
Papa and Daddy took him over to the big hill right down the street.
Dec. 30-4
He had a lot of fun and went several other times during the week with Leo and Lily.
Sled
Big enough to carry his own sled.
Dec. 30-5
So much fun!
Dec. 30-6
The day before we left Daddy helped Jackson make his snowman.
Another thing he just had to do!
Jan. 3-5
I took these pictures through the window from the warm house. The temperature one morning was -11. Brrr!
Jan. 3-6
Snow angels too!
Jan. 3-7
Jackson didn't mind the cold and had lots of fun in the snow. Me, on the other hand, am glad to be back in Houston!
