2 Weeks

It's crazy to think I would still be pregnant (39 weeks) if Lincoln wouldn't have come early. God's timing and plan were perfect.
Lincoln now weighs 7lbs 1.5oz, is 20 inches, and head is 14.
He is such a good eater and loves to pee when we change his diapers.
He even lets me get some 4 hour stretches of sleep.
We are so thankful he is healthy and growing!

Side by Side

"Who does he look like?" Is the million dollar question. At this point I think he looks more like Brian, but only time will tell.

I did some side by sides of Jackson and Lincoln. With a quick glance at Lincoln I don't think he looks like Jackson, but then sometimes I see Jackson in Lincoln.

So, who do you think Lincoln looks like?

Memorial Day Weekend

Growing up I went camping each Memorial Day weekend. One day Brian and I hope to take our kids camping and make it a tradition with some friends.

Lincoln made his first debut at Church on Sunday. He ate his way through the whole service! That afternoon we decided to be brave and take both kids to our Sunday School Class Pool Party.

Jackson had a blast swimming with Daddy and the other kids.
Later that night at home, we let Lincoln experience the pool for himself. We dipped his feet and hands in the water. I think he liked it!

Having a holiday on a Monday means Daddy is home:) We walked to the park, and Jackson enjoyed the new equipment.
Aunt Midge, Uncle Dan, Kim, Jonathan, and Aaron came over to swim and cook out for dinner. Aunt Midge fed us well.

What a fun and relaxing (I napped each day) weekend!

Family Time

My parents starting driving down to see us Tuesday afternoon after Lincoln was born . They made it by Wednesday afternoon and came up to see us in the hospital.
Mom made us dinner each night and took care of our laundry.
Papa Gary brought Jackson a new toy!
Garrison and him were racing up and down the street.
They also swam two times a day.
Papa and Garrison came to watch Jackson play baseball. Jackson scored his first run!

We are so thankful they could come see and help us out for the week!

P.S. Lincoln says he already misses you

Awards Night

Jackson was in Awana's for the first time this year. They had an awards night for any child who finished their whole book. Jackson memorized all 24 verses.
Jackson was a Cubbie, and Mrs. Sue was his teacher. She has been helping out in Awana's for 20 years!

Jackson and his class. He loved going each week.
We are so proud of him and are praying these verses take root in his heart!

1 Week

At one week Lincoln is back to his birth weight, actually 1/2 ounce above. He is now 6lbs 4 1/2 oz.

He is a very relaxed, easy going baby.
He eats every 3-4 hours and nurses for about 20-25 minutes. He is most awake after he eats.
We spend a lot of time holding and snuggling with him. He will nap on the boppy and/or bouncy seat during the day. At night he sleeps in the bassinet in our room. He is a little more fussy at night. If I rock him back to sleep and then lay him down, we are good to go.
Jackson still loves being a big brother. He checks on Lincoln first thing every morning and loved having Lincoln come watch his baseball game.
Brian is a great Daddy (I already knew that) to two kids. He helps out with Lincoln and spends time playing with Jackson.
I love having Brian home from work. We went shopping and had a lunch date.
Lincoln, we all love you and can't imagine our family without you!

BIG Brother

Jackson has been praying for Lincoln everyday since we told him he would be having a baby brother. He has been so excited to meet and Lincoln and predicted he would be born on Mother's Day. He was pretty close. I couldn't wait to see Jackson's reaction when he met Lincoln.

Brian picked up Jackson and on his back to the hospital he told Jackson we had a big brother present for him. Jackson responded with, "I don't need anything, I have Lincoln." And then 20 seconds later, "But Dad, can I still have the present?"

He was completely smitten from the time he walked into the room and saw him. "Mom, I love him 20 million!"

I pray these boys grow up to be best friends and take care of one another.
We thought Jackson might get bored at the hospital so we had the iPad ready for him to play on. Jackson never once complained or asked to go home. He sat near Lincoln or asked to hold him the entire time. Jackson even got jealous when others would hold him. Lincoln cried once and Jackson said, "He just needs his big brother to hold him."
Playing Candy Land- This was his big brother present and he loves it.
Jackson's world has been changed forever, but overall he is adjusting well and doing great.
Our first picture of a family of four. We are blessed beyond measure!
