Newborn Pictures

We had a few pictures taken of Lincoln and our family. I loved how they turned out (especially for the price)!

Baseball Season

Jackson has had a great first season of T-ball. He has improved so much in a short time. I think he has enjoyed it for the most part, me too (besides the 100 degree noon games). He preferred batting. If he was in the field he was a lot more focused if he actually played a base.
His coaches were encouraging and really nice, and all the parents were kind and supportive. All around it was a positive experience.
By playing baseball, we were able to work on sportsmanship, attitude, and perseverance with Jackson. He is very confident in himself and proud of his golden trophy!

Kick Off

The first week of summer is already in the books. The key to surviving the day with Jackson is to stay busy by going somewhere/being with friends.

We hit up our Splash Pad and park one morning.
Story time at the library is not near as fun as checking out library books. Jackson loves picking out and bringing home different books to read.
Lots of time playing games with Jackson, and he makes sure Lincoln is always close by.
We met some friends at their Splash Pad/Pool to play another morning.
Jackson's favorite part were the slides.
Being silly with friends
Not a bad way to start summer vacation!

First Bath

Lincoln had his first "real" bath this week after his umbilical cord fell off. Maybe he will have an outie:)
He made himself real comfy and even pooped within the first minute of laying in the warm water. Then, he really needed a bath!
 All clean
I love a baby wrapped up in a bath towel.

I'd say he liked it!

MacGyver Slide

We were playing at the park the other night, and as we were leaving I told Jackson we could come back one day this summer and go down the water slides at the pool. He quickly piped up and said, "I know let's take my slide off my fort and use it in the pool. That's a good idea, right?"

Since he has a creative, fun, and resourceful Dad it actually happened!
Jackson had a blast and spent at least a hour on the slide. I have a feeling the slide may be staying there all summer! SO fun!

School's Out

Jackson started preschool in August and ended his year on Friday. They had a bounce house and a special lunch to celebrate. He has grown in several areas this year; but mostly height:) He is 3 1/4 inches taller!
Overall, Jackson did very well at school. He picks up on concepts very easily, but also cries just as easy. He tends to be a perfectionist, so when things don't go just how he wants he gets upset. We will be working on that this summer.

I asked Jackson about some of his favorites from this year:
Friends- Emeka, Garrett, Adam
Madison, Addison, Victorie
Activity- Art, Songs
Lunch I packed- Peanut Butter and Jelly
Center- Lego's
Job- Watering flowers

And in case you were wondering...Jackson is still loving being a big brother!
Looking forward to the summer days with my two boys!

Memorizing Scripture V2:11

Psalm 51:10 "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."

I want to have a pure heart before God and want His spirit alive in me. As summer vacation begins, I want to be intentional with my time with Jackson (and Lincoln). These boys are part of my mission field. I want them to see me living out my faith in real and practical ways.
