First Day of Kindergarten

Jackson had his first day of Kindergarten on Monday. 

Daddy surprised us with coffee for Monday and a donut for Jackson.

We are so proud of our boy!

He had a great first day and was super excited to go back for day 2! Praying he is kind to others, learns a lot, and lets his light shine all year.

Day 224: I was a "fun" mom and got my hair wet :)

Day 225: Jackson is the best helper and excited to be a Redhawk this year!

Day 226: Spending some 1-1 time with my big boy before school starts

 Day 227: We ended the summer with a bang at Noah's Ark Pool. The boys and I had a blast!

Day 228: What else would we do on a 100 degree day?

Day 229: I am SO thankful I got to spend the summer with my boys!

Day 230: Back to school haircut and his own saving account.

Day 217: Jackson and Mommy date to the movies. Lincoln wanted to come too!

Day 218: Going to miss summer play dates!

Day 223: Wish I could say that he was this happy when I dropped him off, but he wasn't crying when I picked him up.

Where We Grew Up

After the lake house, we spent 2 1/2 days in FDL. We got to meet up with some friends and spend more time with our families.

We went to the park to ride on the rides and to AW for ice cream.

We left Friday morning and drove the 20 hours back home in our new to us car.:)

We had such a fun time!

Lake House

Our plane left for Chicago at 6 am, then we drove 3 hours to FDL. We were all exhausted by the time we got to my parent's house.

We loaded back into the car and drove almost 2 hours to Brian's uncle's lake house. We stayed there from Friday to Tuesday. We had a great time with all our family.

Jackson and Brian fished the days away! Jackson loved running around with his cousins.

Brian and I both tried wake boarding. He made it up and well me...not so much:)

My parents camped 5 minutes away and came over to hang out during the day. We went out on the boat and four wheeler. Jackson and all the kids went tubing.

We played games, swam in the lake, and fished some more.

The weather was cool for this Houston girl, but perfect for fishing, walks, and running around.

The lake reminds me of our dating days- my how things have changed, but I love spending time with my family in God's creation.

All of Brian's family was able to join us at the lake house.

We had a great time!

Day 210: Had a great time up at the lake house! We would love to have our own!

Day 211: Small town fun! Rides at the park and treats at A&W.

 Day 212: Just another one of Papa's toys on the farm.

Day 213: After a long day of traveling in the car, we had some fun at our alma mater and Bass Pro.

Day 214: Day 2 of traveling!

Day 215: Feels so good to be home! When we asked Jackson if he was ready to go back to Texas he said, "Yes, Home Sweet Home!"

Day 216: My mom got me hooked while I was in WI, and I had to go buy some today. So good!

Day 203: VBS Day 2

Day 204: Happy Anniversary to us; nothing better than our boys! We celebrated with Chick-fil-a.

Day 205: He lost his first tooth last night, and he is so excited the tooth fairy came! And, the best thing is that he didn't think twice and took his dollar to VBS for offering. 

Day 206: We survived our 6am flight but not without some tears and getting peed on.

Day 207: Fun on the lake and with Leo. They are inseparable. 

Day 208: Fish, fish, and fish some more. Me and my boy:)

Day 209: Beautiful evening on the lake and a fun day with our families. Yes, we fished!
