Jackson is NINE!

Jackson woke up a year older today!:) 

We started the morning with donuts and kolaches!

Some presents! 

Fishing, fishing, fishing!

And dinner out at BJ's!

Dear Jackson, 

Happy 9th birthday! We didn't know what to expect nine years ago, but you stole our hearts from the minute we held you! You are loving, competitive (maybe a bit too much), a perfectionist, smart, and determined to do your best. You continue to amaze us in all you do; swimming, school, creative idea, big brother! We pray you will grow in your relationship with the Lord and know He is ALL you need! I love you to infinity and beyond, bud!

Dr. Seuss Week

We celebrated Read Across America Week in my classroom all week with fun dress up days!

Brian made Lincoln and I shirts for Dr. Seuss' birthday on  Friday.

"Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" 

That is the perfect quote for Lincoln!

Day 50: Shopping time with my love! I forgot how peaceful it is without 2 boys fighting up and down every aisle!

Day 51: Blessed to have this boy in my class each day! Pray for his mom as she fights a brain tumor.

Day 52: Pedicure time!

Day 53: LOVE!

Day 54: My Cowboys! 

Lincoln 4.5 and Jackson 5 years

Day 55: God put these ladies in my life at the right time and they are what true friends look like!

Day 56: Love our church! The kids had a blast doing the Kid Faith escape room!

Day 43: Working on his Awana verse and sight words!

Day 44: Jackson researched the Empire State Building, created a model in Minecraft to scale, and shared his presentation tonight. We are always proud of his hard work! Can you guess how many Jacksons to get to the top?

Day 45: Happy Valentine's Day!

Day 46: Boy moms have to stick together! Loved talking with a friend sharing our struggles and encouraging one another as we try to raise boys that love Jesus and others!

Day 47: Lunch with my favorite 3rd grader!

Day 48: Beautiful day for a swim meet!

Day 49: Celebrating hard work and great swimming!

Spring Champs

 Jackson had to swim up this weekend with the 9-12 year old boys, since he turns 9 the day of the 8 and under Champs Meet. 

It was a long 2 days of swimming!

The first day Jackson helped his relay team take 1st place, placed 8th in the 50 & 200 Free, and 9th in the 50 back! He hit the Gulf time in the 50 back!

Day 2!

Always nice to have Papa and Grandma here to watch!

Jackson was a little disappointed with his times today, but took 3rd and PRed in the 100 IM. He also took 3rd in the Free Relay, 8th in 50 Fly, and 9th in 50 Breast.

Not to bad for being the only 8 year old there!

Day 36: He loves washing dishes for me and does it with so much joy! I need to learn from him!

Day 37: At 8 this boys sets high goals for himself and works so hard! I pray that no mater what he accomplishes he knows how loved and special he is!

Day 38: He filled these boxes with pictures and toys for his friends at school!

Day 39: Nothing better than having Papa and Grandma come to visit! Let the date nights begin!

Day 40: Loved seeing my sweet friend Christin at work today!

Day 41: Brian surprised me with a night away!

Day 42: So Thankful Brian’s parents could be here to watch Jackson be baptized, and for technology so my parents could watch live! He is prayed for by many! 

Just the Two of Us

On Friday, Brian called me and told me we were going away for the night! Perks of having Mel and Sharon here with us! We headed for the Woodlands after work. 

We tried out Tommy Bahamas on Market Street, did some shopping, and relaxed in our room!

 He surprised me again in the morning with a trip to the Spa!

We had to recreate the top picture from 9 years ago when I was pregnant with Jackson!

 I don’t know if it is because I’m getting older or because of all of Brian’s heath issues, but I never take a day with him for granted anymore! So thankful for this time alone with my love!❤️
