#hartzsummer18 Gaylord Texan

We headed to Grapevine for a little family getaway and stayed at the Gaylord Texan for 3 days.

The inside of the hotel is amazing! You feel like you are outside, but it is a cool 70 degree and just beautiful!

We wasted no time and hopped on the Party Bus to go to the water park!

JOY!

The Lazy River may just have been our favorite part! The boys loved swimming, I loved floating, and they thought it was hilarious to push me under the water falls! :)

Nothing better than time with my boys at the pool!

Morning breakfast on the balcony by the waterfall.

Each morning we walked around the property. Gorgeous landscaping!

Back to Paradise Springs! Everyone got in on the action!
Zip-line for the win and family fun!

My heart is full!

More Lazy River fun!

We enjoyed dinner on the "Riverwalk" and took some family pictures after.

The hotel had a Smurfs theme and offered escape rooms. Jackson has been wanting to do one forever, so it was perfect that they had a kid friendly one!

They both loved it! We escaped both rooms with 15 minutes to spare and had a great time!
2 thumbs up!

Last morning at the pool!

We may need to put a Lazy River in! :)

Our favorite spot!

My sweet and salty!

Before leaving the boys were able to paint a canvas thanks to our flexibility the night before and a generous worker.

Lincoln chose Gargamel and Jackson painted his own. Matches their personality, ha!

Finished products!

On our way home, we decided to stop at Magnolia Markets for some cupcakes!
It was HOT!! The boys talked me into $6 orange juice!

YUM!!!
The peach one was incredibly good, and my favorite!

What a fun trip away together!

Ponderosa 2018

Jackson had a great summer swim season and qualified in all strokes for Ponderosa in the 9/10 division as a 9 year old. He even made finals in all events at Ponderosa!!!

Saturday he swam the 25 Free, 25 Back, 50 Free, and Progressive relay.
He took 5th place in 25 Free, 14th in 25 Back and 50 Back, and 6th in Progressive Relay.
Fasted 9 year old in 25 Free!

Sunday he saw 25 Breast, 25 Fly, and 100 IM.
Lots of emotion when hearing his name for making A finals for 100 IM!!!

He took 8th in 100 IM, 10th 25 Fly, and 11th in 25 Breast.

No place we would rather be than cheering on our boy! He wasn't happy with all his swims or the outcomes of all of his races, but hopefully he learned to not be to hard on yourself, there is always another race, and that we are proud of him no matter what!

We love our swimmer!!
