New York Day 2

Day 2 was full of walking and sightseeing!

We decided to give the Subway a try, and I'm so glad we did!
(Also, there was a Starbucks right next to our hotel! Glorious!)
First time on the Subway! It was Sunday morning and compared to the rest of the week hardly anyone was on the Subway this day.
We could easily navigate the Subway thanks to our phones. Without these directions, we would have been lost.

We stopped first at the 9/11 Memorial.
 Fountains where the Towers stood
 Survivor's Tree
Then, we walked over to Battery Park to see the Statue of Liberty. We opted against taking the Ferry for a closer view.

Quick stop for a hot dog from the street vendors.

We hopped on the Subway and went to see the Brooklyn Bridge.

It was really crowded on the bridge due to a Cancer walk that was going on.

So beautiful and so much history!

Next up, the Empire State Building

and Grand Central Station.
I loved walking all around and taking in the sights!

Ray's Pizza was delicious.

Times Square-always something interesting to see here!

It always seemed like daytime in and around Times Square with all the lights and noise.

We loved Aladdin so much so we decided to buy tickets to another Broadway show.
Unfortunately, it was so disappointing. We left after the second song because of the suggestive dress of the women. It made me upset to know we wasted a bunch of money, but also proud of us for standing up for what we believe in.

30,000 steps and a awesome day later we put our feet up and went to sleep!

New York Day 1

Brian and I left Saturday morning for New York City. We have been planning this trip since the summer, and we were so excited to be going!

Saying good bye to the boys, they were in good hands with Mel and Sharon.

Just the two of us

Lincoln sent his neck pillow with me for the plane. Love my sweet boy!
I loved being able to see landmarks from the air as we were coming in to New York.

We made it to New York around 3 and took a taxi (first taxi ride for me) to our hotel.

We arrived at Park Central Hotel, checked into our room, and got changed right away for dinner and Broadway.

We had reservations at Carmines at 6 o'clock. It was crazy busy, but we were seated and enjoyed a delicous dinner. Highly recommend Carmines!

Then, it was time for Aladdin!

The New Amsterdam Theater was beautiful.

What a show!!

It was incredible from begining to end. From the preformers to the props, it was all just amazing!
It was a chilly night when we came out, but we still walked in Time Square and to the M&M store.

We picked out some personalized M&M's for the boys.

It seemed like it was 6pm even at midnight in Time Square with all the lights, people, and taxi horns. We saw so many interesting sites the first day, but what a great first day it was in New York City!
It is hard to explain what I felt. I was living a dream, and just so happy to be there with my love!
