#Hartz2021 Week 6

A little bit of what we have been up to Feb. 10-17...

Happy Valentine's Day!
Valentine AMAZING Race!
Because we have been watching Amazing Race as a family, and I love planning a good theme.
The boys had a 🚧Road Block and ⚠️Detour to complete to earn their Valentine gift.

They had to work together to build a Monster truck, play a jam session, but their final leg of the trip to Monster Jam was postponed due to winter weather in Houston!
My forever Valentine!
22 years of celebrating LOVE, and Brian spoiling me!

And then it began to SNOW!
The boys went to bed excited and hopeful for more snow to play in!

SN❄️W in Houston means we were playing outside before bed and at 6:30 this morning!!
There is just something magical about SN❄️W and SN❄️W days! (Just glad we don’t have months and months of cold) 🥶
Monday was a fun snow day. We had power, while a lot of people in Houston didn't have any power.
The boys enjoyed playing outside in the snow on and off all day long.

Haha!

We also binged watch Amazing Race as a family.
Tuesday was a different story. We woke up to no power or water.
Brian got our water back on, and the boys played outside with the neighbors.
They didn't even care there was no power.
Sledding :)

Our neighbors are the BEST, and we spent the day helping one another, playing, and sitting/eating around the fire!
Almost like we are camping! :)
Definitely making memories and choosing joy!
The fort we built next to the fire kept us very warm and provided a great place for the boys to sleep.
After about 36 hours we have power! So thankful for no broken pipes and heat. It could have been worse. God is good!

#Hartz2021 Week 5

A little bit of what we have been up to Feb. 2-9...

"Mom, I accenditally broke the cabinet." Oh, Lincoln!
Breakfast with my love after a doctor appointment
Afternoon movie and Scrabble
Cute cookie helper!
Sharing the LOVE with our neighbors and friends!
Coffee and Hot chocolate and some early morning swinging!
We’re about 2 months out since Brian had open heart surgery. He is slowly gaining his strength and stamina back. But, I know he is feeling better because he is back disc golfing!
I loved joining the boys today in the beautiful weather. Praise God and thank you for your continued prayers. We have seen God’s goodness!
“Yet I am confident I will see the LORD’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.”
Psalm 27:13
Jackson had his first in person and full band concert!
So proud of him!
The whole band sound so good for only playing their instruments for 5 months!
Treat afterwards :)

#Hartz2021 Week 3

A little bit of our life from Jan. 17-24...

Lincoln is excited about his MOD sized pizza!

Having dinner in the Woodlands before going to cheer on Jackson.
Jackson swam great and dropped time in every race, but he didn't quite get the TAGS cuts he was shooting for. Those 11-12 times are tough.
Lincoln lost a tooth 2 nights in a row!
We spent Saturday at Brazos Bend State Park.
Lincoln earned all three Junior Natualist patches!
Can you spot the alligator?
We hiked and biked!
I really hope he never stops holding my hand!
We saw 10 alligators all together!

#Hartz2021 Week 2

A little bit of our life from Jan. 9-16...

Bundled up in our vests to go to Church.

One month post open heart surgery!

The boys were hoping for snow, but all we got was a little sleet!

Jackson still lets his brother lay with him most nights!
This was my first time to lap count for Jackson. After I asked him how I did. He said, "He didn't even look until he heard the bell. But at least I got a 4D experience of his race!"
Qualified for TAGS in the 200 IM!
Love watching him swim, even if we leave before the sun is up and get home when it is dark!
Another TAGS cut in the 100 Breast!!

#Hartz2021 Week 1

A little of life happening from Jan. 1-8...

A walk to start the new year!

Jackson designed a desk and then Papa helped him build it!

We said goodbye to Papa and Grandma. They were such a help to us after Brian's surgery.
Sheldon Lake State Park is less than an hour from our house so we thought we would check it out.
It is a very small park with no camping, but we enjoyed exploring and a little hike.
Boymom!
Jackson is very responsible and always practices his trombone after dinner. Not sure how Lincoln fell asleep during it.
Car rider line! Love the extra moments with Jackson in the morning!
Brian got a new guitar and loves playing with Jackson.
