Hodgepodge

Webster.com defines hodgepodge as a heterogeneous mixture; jumble. That is what this post is; a Hodgepodge of things from the weekend!

APPLES-I got some of the best apples ever from Central Market on Westheimer. They also had cheese curds from Wisconsin. I think I will be making another trip soon!

FIRST BATH- We gave Jackson his 1st bath in the bath tub. He was just chillin' the whole time. Afterwards he was so relaxed I was just holding him in his towel and he filled the towel:)
Oops!

WALKS- We went on lots of walks. I walked and shopped up and down Westheimer:) The weather was beautiful!
ON-CALL- Brian was on-call all weekend, so Jackson and I went with him to the hospital one time to keep him company on the ride in and to hang out downtown afterwards. He got called in 7 times this weekend.
At work with daddy!

RECIPES- During my time off, I have found several new recipes I want to try. Last night I made the first one and it was a success. A BIG Thank You to everyone in a Sunday School Class and Stacy who brought us meals. We loved them all and greatly appreciated it:)
PICTURES- Just some cute pictures of my favorite baby:)

Shoutout to my grandparents:)

Birth Announcement

It took me a while to decide what kind of birth announcement I wanted to send out with out spending a fortune. I need to become crafty and learn to make my own. I ended up going with a post card style and think they turned out well. Mine is proudly displayed on the refrigerator:)

Old MacDonald's Farm

One of Garrison's favorite songs is Old MacDonald Had a Farm and he LOVES animals. We took him to Old MacDonald's Farm before he left and he had a blast. It was basically a petting zoo with some play areas.

I have never been that close to a deer:)
The goats liked to eat shorts and fingers.
Brian got in on the fun!
Garrison having lots of fun. The cow knocked him over, but he didn't mind. I wish I would have gotten it on camera, it was pretty funny!
Jackson's first train ride. We will have to take Jackson back once he is older!

One, Two, Three

ONE- Jackson is growing like a weed. He now weighs 9lbs 5 ozs and is 22.5 inches long. He even can wear his 0-3 month clothes now:)
TWO- Brian and I are going on a date tonight. We are taking advantage of my mom still being here:) Not sure what we are going to do or how long we will actually be gone. We love hanging out with Jackson!
THREE- The people that were going to buy our house backed out because thier loan did not go through. So, we backed out of the house(s) we were going to buy. We are going to continue to have our house listed for sale. If and when we sell it, then we will begin looking for a house. Please continue to keep this situation in your prayers.

Enjoying the Beautiful Weather

Psalm 118:24 "This is the day the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it."

Jackson and I have been out and about soaking up the sunshine. Today Brian had off so we went down to Memorial Park and walked.
Ofcourse Jackson slept!
I think I had Jackson at a perfect time. I have 8 weeks off to enjoy the weather and be outside with him. I am pretty sure it is going to be hard to go back to school.

My mom, Garrison, and Katelyn are still here so after our walk we headed to the park with them:)

Where Does The Time Go?

Every three hours or so is spent feeding Jackson for about 30-40 minutes. He is getting to be quite the little piggy:) When I am not feeding him I try to do something productive like; pick up the house, wash clothes, take a shower and get dressed, take a nap, etc. However, that time seems to get away from me and before I know it it is time to feed him again. Lately, he has been a bit more gassy and needs to be held longer after eating. Please pray his little tummy starts to feel better.

Last week was spent going to lots of doctor appointments. Jackson had 2 appointments and visited the hospital twice to get his bilirubin levels checked and I had an appointment. I am learning patience is a new way.
1st doctor's appointment

I can't believe tomorrow Jackson is 2 weeks. It feels like we haven't done much and at the same time the days fly by.
Bath time- He does not like being undressed

Update on house situation: Please continue to pray for everything to work out. The couple who put in a contract on our house backed out with out a reason. We put an offer on a different house. Please pray for me not to worry and for our house to be sold.
