The Baseball Field

We decided at the last minute to sign Jackson up for baseball. Good thing we went the day we did, because they had practice that night. Jackson was so excited about finally being able to play!
One of the player's dad and grandpa are going to be coaching, but were unable to make the first practice. So, all the other parents stepped in and helped out.
Jackson did a good job following directions and didn't get too upset when he did something wrong. Most of the boys and girls on his team are a year older than him and have played 2 or 3 seasons. Thankfully, he is not the worse player.
I'm just hoping he got Brian's athletic ability!

Things I'm Loving

-The Keurig
I finally gave in and bought one (our first purchase from Costco).
It really has changed my mornings for the better!

-Our Costco Membership
I love buying things in bulk and not needing to go to the grocery store every week.
The best part might be that Brian works right down the street and he stops for me when needed. All I have to do is meal plan not grocery shop!

-Lincoln's room
His nursery is coming together nicely (thanks to Brian)! And less than 8 weeks until we meet him.

-This book and the power of prayer
It gives me very specific things to pray for Jackson and verses related to the topics. I have been in constant prayer for Brain's health and other things. I love seeing how God answers these prayers, but also the peace He gives me as I am communicating with Him.

-Aladdin Mason Jar Cup
Brian surprised me one day with a new cup. Aladdin is my favorite brand of cup. They really are sweat proof. Target carries a wide variety, go buy one!

-My boy singing praises to the Lord
He knows the words to most of the songs on KSBJ, and it is one of the sweetest things hearing him sing along. He came to big Church with me on Sunday to sing Bless the Lord. He sang every word loud and it brought tears to my eyes.

-Weekends
Time spent with my boys, friends, and relaxing are what I look forward to all week
1st Splash Pad visit of the year

4 Year Old Pictures

Before we cut Jackson's hair we had a few pictures taken at JC Penny's. I would love to hire a photographer to take our pictures, but I am not willing to pay the high price. So, for a very cheap price, basic picture, and overall good quality I will stick with JC Penny.

Jackson's pretty cute, so that helps!

Had to get a family picture with the bump

"What?!?"

Love this one of him

When the lady told Jackson to hug Daddy's leg, he got the biggest smile.

Love these two more than words!

Easter Festivities

Easter is not about bunnies, eggs, or candy. It is about God's redeeming love for us and the hope we have in Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. Those were the words and conversations we had many time this last week with Jackson.

But, we found also found time to color eggs, do an Easter Egg Hunt, and find our Easter Baskets.

Friday afternoon we colored a few Easter eggs.
 His favorite color
 So fun and no spills:)
Jackson gobbled up one of the eggs!

Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday at Church.

 It was a beautiful day!
 Determination with tongue out
 Lots and lots of eggs
 Family pic

We waited until we got home from Church Sunday morning before hiding and finding Jackson's Easter bucket. I kept it very simple. Jackson would have totally forgot about finding his bucket if I didn't mention it, made my heart glad he wasn't focused on gifts.
Daddy like Jackson's Nerf Gun just as much more than Jackson!
Easter Egg Hunt at Aunt Midges and Uncle Dan's. We had lunch there after Church and Jackson (and us) were very loved by them.
LOVE all the fun memories made together as a family!

Memorizing Scripture V2:7

2 Thessalonians 3:3 "But the Lord is faithful. He will give you strength and protect you from the evil one."

Love this verse and all the encouragement that comes from it. He is faithful when you continue to pursue Him and with His strength you can do just that.

I am praying this verse over Jackson. I want Jackson to know the faithfulness of the Lord and see it in our everyday life. I also want Jackson to draw his strength from the Lord especially in the area of self-control with his words. And, on this earth he needs protection from the evil one every minute of every day.
