Jackson is EIGHT!

I can't believe my boy is turning eight!!

I love this boy more than my words can ever say!

He made me a mom, that day is forever etched in my mind.

Jackson,

You are a boy who loves a schedule and likes to stick to it. You are helpful, kind, sensitive, intense, mature, smart, and have the sweetest heart!

You love to argue and are never wrong! :) 

You are tall, like 4'8 tall, and growing into quite the handsome boy!

You are inquisitive, word and number smart, and can spell almost every word. You love to read and read almost 4 books a week. I love our special reading time together at night, and love learning with you.

You love to swim and are quite good, play basketball, fish, write, read, play outside, Pokemon, sing, and Jesus!

You bring such joy to our lives, and we are so thankful God blessed us with you.

I pray that this year you draw closer to God and love more like him.

Happy 8th birthday, Jackson!

Memorizing Scripture V4:5

Psalm 118:24, "This IS the day that Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it."

I chose this verse because I wanted a reminder to stay in the present; not dwell on the past or be so busy looking to the future that I forget to live THIS day He gave me to the fullest. I want and pray to be present in the moment and not miss anything with my family because I'm too busy preparing for the future. Also, I want to rejoice and be glad no matter the circumstances. I pray I will be an example for my boys in how I choose to respond to life's events.

I pray each day I will make an impact and live THIS day to the fullest!!

Day 50: Perfecting his pirate smile at Costco!

 Day 51: Jackson and I finally got to watch BFG together, after reading it this summer. We let Lincoln watch with us too.:) 

Day 52: Lincoln was one of the best listeners at school today, and he informed Brian he wishes I would pick him up everyday! I love this boy!

Day 53: I have some great helpers!

Day 54: I take great joy in praying over and speaking truth over these boys in the morning! What a privilege it is to be their mom. I fail many times a day, but am so thankful God's love is faithful and forgiving!

"The Lord your God is with you, the Might Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you, but will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

Day 55: Fun night with friends on the Boardwalk celebrating Paul's birthday and this is the only picture I took! Guess I was too busy talking and eating! Fries and burgers were delicious! 

Dy 56: Movie Night at School!

Swim, Jackson, Swim

Jackson competed in Winter and Spring champs.

Swimming is a family event!

He swam hard! Always so proud of him!

1st in 50 free, 25 back and fly, and 2nd in 25 free!

7 year old High point earner!

1st and 2nd places for Jackson today, and he dropped time in every race.

Brian's parents were here for about a month. We enjoyed spending time with them, the extra time for dates, and are so thankful for all they did for us!!

Day 43: Our Grow Group to assemble blessing bags tonight. I loved how our children helped and prayed over these bags. It's a small way for us to #bekind and show God's love across our city. Lord, open our eyes and help us love like you.

Day 44: Special delivery for the boys' teachers and Valentine's for our friends! We are ready for tomorrow!

Day 45: Valentine's tradition!

Little surprises for my boys! All things Pokemon, which I don't understand at all! 

Day 46: I look forward to reading with this boy every other night!

Day 47: The best picture I got tonight, but they sure had fun playing together! 

 Day 48: Still loving my journaling Bible!

Genesis 15:1, NKJV, "Do not be afraid, Kyndra, I AM your shield, your exceedingly great reward."

A shield protects, intercepts/deflects attacks, guards, and is a line of defense. I am so thankful I that God is my shield. I have nothing to fear!
