Capture the Moment- January Part III

Lunch after church

The boys were busy making a playground for their hamsters!

Jackson had his first solo and ensemble performance. His solo caused many tears in preparation, but his determination and hard work paid off. He scored a 1 on his solo and ensemble, and earned two gold medals!

First official date night of 2022!

Date night led us to tattoo shop!

Before Brian went back for open heart surgery last year, I had him write “love you forever”, so if he didn’t make it through I could get a tattoo with his handwriting. Thankfully he is still here, but I have been wanting to get one.
My tattoo shows God’s faithfulness to us. Above Brian’s “love you forever” are mountains. These mountains represent that God is the God of the mountains and the valleys. The mountains praise Him, and so will I. Also, we love to hike and camp as a family.
🏔
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:8‬ ‭
The rainbow above the mountains represents God’s promises, joy, and the hope we have in Him. No matter the circumstances or how I am feeling, God’s love and promises remain steadfast.
“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” 2 Corinthians 1:20
Brian also got a tattoo of "love you forever" in my handwriting.

And in true God fashion, He orchestrated one of my good friends to be at the exact tattoo shop at the exact time getting a special tattoo as well!

Just some praise and worship at home!

Capture the Moment-January

Happy 2022! I am still trying to capture the moments! I love to remember the big, small, and every moment in between!

Reading together in Lincoln's room

Family Rook Night

Brian left me words of affirmation on the mirror:)
And then Lincoln did the same! So sweet!

First swim meet of the new year!

Brian was out of town so just these 2 dates for the night!

Lincoln swam in Katy, while Jackson was in the Woodlands.

The Woodlands said no spectators, but I got to time and Jackson ended up swimming in my lane. Love when God works things out!

He always loves his Russo's spaghetti after a long day of swimming!

#Hartz2021 Week 48

A little bit of what we have been up to Dec. 29-31...

We made it to the end of the year, even if my weeks are wrong on the blog posts!

We made it home and received word that many of our family members had Covid. Brian ended up getting it again, but thankfully it was mild.

Lincoln got a room transformation!

He chose the blue color, and it looks great! Brian built floating shelves and a place for him to hang his medals.

Mountain headboard and LED lights

I just love how his room turned out!

Quarantined New Years Eve at home!
We played games, ate lots of food, and toasted to the New Year!
I finally can say I read through the whole Bible! The One Year Bible help me stay on track! Definitely recommend it. Time in God’s word is so important!
Each day was often the exact scripture I needed to hear and fill my heart and mind with. Love how God meets our needs with His word.
I also listed 5 things I was grateful for each day, what a way to change your attitude!
