Spring Break: iPhone Dump

Some random fun happening over Spring Break caught on my phone (that I haven't blogged about):

29 Weeks

Cravings: Grilled turkey and cheese, Iced (Decaf) Vanilla Latte

Sleep: Lots of strange dreams

Symptoms: Still feeling good, crazy bleeding gums

Movement: Lots and lots, I feel like he grew a ton this week

Maternity clothes: Yes (still some mix and match)

Size of baby: Butternut squash, about 15 inches and 2 1/2 pounds

 

Gender: Boy, Lincoln Wayne

What I miss: Not much, maybe a good workout

Best moment of last week: Brian finished painting the nursery, it looks great!

 

Looking forward to: Brian painting the furniture for the nursery

4 Year Old Well Check

Over Spring Break, we knocked out Jackson's 4 year old appointment.

His stats: 44 3/4 inches tall; off the charts

44 pounds; 93%

Passed vision and hearing screening, and Dr. Arthur confirmed his silliness!

  I prepped him before hand that he might have to get a few shots. It ended up being three. He was a champ; no screaming and no tears!

 What does a well behaved, brave, healthy boy get after those shots? A lunch date with Mommy to McDonald's (his choice).

We are so thankful for our healthy little big boy!



Rodeo Time

Wednesday morning Jackson and I were picked up by Aunt Midge, and we headed downtown to go to the Rodeo.

We got there early so there were no crowds going through the Live Stock building.

Planting a tomato seed

 Jackson got his first experience of pig races. There were 3 different races and each time the announcer asked for a cheerleader from each section. Jackson was disappoint each time the guy didn't pick him. Before the last race, he stood up on the bleachers and raised both arms. He got picked. Thank you, Jesus!

 And, his pig won!
Jackson earned a pig nose and a pack of Oreo cookies. He was beyond excited!

When the carnival first opened, the crowd was still minimal. 

Jackson and Aaron rode several rides. 

The crowd grew and grew. Holding hands were a must!

We had bought value pass tickets online and the boys each had 75 tickets. The rides were all half priced,  and they had quite a few tickets left to spend. The lines were ridiculously long for the rides, so the boys spent the rest of their tickets on games. We found one were you won every time. Needless to say Jackson brought home a lot of stuffed animals and a light savor.

Another fun day with my boy! I am loving this time off.

 We ended our day driving tractors. Jackson could have spent an hour here. He is in heaven when there are tractors or gators around!

After two days of walking around at Sea World and one day at the Rodeo, this pregnant Momma was apparently exhausted. I fell asleep on the couch at 8:45.

 

But, wouldn't trade the time with my sweet boy for anything!

Memorizing Scripture V2:6

I am choosing a verse this time that I have been reading with Jackson. He is really into singing worship songs. I wanted him to know that the Bible tells us to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. We want worship through music to be apart of our every day. It also helps calm Jackson's heart and change his attitude around, it may do the same for me!

Jackson and I will be memorizing Psalm 100:2, "Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs."

 

 

 

28 Weeks

Third Trimester!!

Time flies. I can't believe we have less than 12 weeks left.

 

Cravings: Nothing specific this week

Sleep: Hard to get comfortable, 1-2 bathroom trips a night

Symptoms: Still feeling good, so thankful for good health of both Lincoln and me

Movement: Lots and lots, love this constant reminder of my little boy

Maternity clothes: Yes (still some mix and match)

Size of baby: Cauliflower, about 14.8 inches and 2 1/4 pounds, I feel like he is bigger than this:) My tummy really popped.

Gender: Boy, Lincoln Wayne

What I miss: Nothing, Can now eat my Sweettart Jellybeans because I passed my glucose test!!

 

Looking forward to: Brian finishing up painting Lincoln's room and seeing the new bedding

I am feeling really big right now, but it makes me feel better that I was about the same size with Jackson.

Sea World Day 2

We slept in on Monday morning and enjoyed breakfast at the hotel before heading back to Sea World. Jackson had our whole day mapped out for us. He may or may not have been in love with the park map:)

 Once we arrived at Sea World, we knew today was going to be a lot more crowded than Sunday. We tried to feed the dolphins first but the line was too long.

 

Brian took Jackson on the boat drop ride again because there was no wait. However, this time he was terrified and screamed the whole way! No clue why, since he went on it 5 times the day before.

 Jackson and Brian went on a few more rides at Bay of Play and watched the show Azul again. I went to go wait in line to feed the dolphins an hour before the actual feeding time.

 I secured a spot to feed the dolphins. I was worried Jackson would be too afraid to feed them. He was! This was the closet he got and then screamed and cried.

The dolphins were excited for the fish and would jump up at you a bit.



Since Jackson didn't want any part in feeding the dolphins, I took advantage and fed them myself. After all I waited in line for an hour and paid $12 for the fish! 

(That really was a lousy 20 minutes with our boy. He was enjoying himself and sweet the entire trip until feeding the dolphins. He said he wanted to, but I guess not!)

 

After that traumatic time, we headed over to the river raft ride. Jackson had wanted to go on this the day before but it was shut down. Brian and him rode it three times and got soaked!



We tried to catch the Shamu show one more time, but it was already completely packed. The day before we were able to walk into any show 5 minutes before it started. 

Around 2:30 we headed back to the hotel to begin our drive home.

 

Overall, Sea World was a blast; the weather was perfect, Sunday wasn't crowded, the free shuttle back and forth to the hotel was a life saver, and creating memories together as a family of 3 that won't be forgotten!
