Valentine's Day

I got all of Jackson's Valentine goodies ready the night before. He was so excited about everything, especially the shoes. He said, "I have to wear them to school because they're so cool!"
My little Valentines before school. I sure do love them!
Jackson's sugar free Valentine's for his friends.
We stuck with our tradition of dinner at Chick-fil-a. You make reservations, they decorate the tables, serve you right at your table, and give you a rose and goodie bag. Jackson loves giving me the rose!
I have to show this picture to because this is what dinner looked like most of the time. Lincoln was hungry and tired. Good thing Papa and Grandma showed up after their dinner!
Jackson and Lincoln had a few more presents from Papa and Grandma and Aunt Midge to open.
And for dessert we had some heart cake!
I am so thankful for my family and the love they bring and show me each day!

#hartzeveryday2014 Week 6

Day 35: This little cutie slept through the night for the first time since being sick. Unfortunately, it was just a tease!
Day 36: Showing off my Hello Kitty ring and heart necklace my sweet boy picked for me from Treasure Box at school. LOVE him!
Day 37: Only his 40th snack of the night, he is ALWAYS hungry!
Day 38: Saying goodbye to my boys for a night away with Brian
Day 39: A good nights sleep and a massage does a body good.
Love spending time alone with him!
Day 40: We have had a month of quality time with Papa and Grandma. This is probably the last Sunday to go to church with them.
Day 41: Just another trip to Home Depot. We are almost done with the kitchen...almost!

Relaxed

Brian sent me a text on Thursday saying to pack my bags. He convinced his parents to watch our boys overnight and booked a hotel downtown.

After school on Friday, we said good bye to our boys and headed out.
We stayed at the Omni, and it was very nice. We were SO excited to sleep through the night!
Brian also booked us a couple's massage for Saturday morning.
It was wonderful!
Excited for my massage
We stopped by the Galleria on the way home to do a little shopping.
It was a wonderful mini "vacation", and so sweet of Brian to plan it. He's a keeper!

We spent the rest of the weekend playing with our boys and making more decisions for the kitchen. It is almost done!!

A Super Weekend

Friday morning Lincoln was sitting up in his crib looking over the edge, so we lowered the mattress down. This little guy is FINALLY feeling better! So thankful!
Saturday was ALL about Jackson! Daddy and him had a date to Home Depot for Build-A-Car Workshop.
He loved every minute and was so proud of his apron and car.
My man is such a good Daddy!
Then, we spent the afternoon with Jackson at Monkey Joe's for a birthday party. I saw half of my school there and even ran into some current students and parents, good thing I looked decent!
Brian and I had date night at home once the boys went to bed. We finally started the movie around 10:00 (ah, the life with two little boy-what blessing they are)! We watched Captain Phillips, which I thought was great, but after that and Lone Survivor I can't take any more intense true story lines. I only want to want Romantic Comedies for the next few months!

We had a Super Bowl Party at our house. Since our teams (Packers and Texans) weren't playing Jackson decided that the Seahawks would be our team to cheer for. He made a good choice!
Old Maid and Go Fish were more entertaining than the actual football game.
These people are the best part of any weekend!

#hartzeveryday2014 Week 4

Day 22: We have a new sink and...GRANITE!

Day 23: It's been a rough couple of weeks for Lincoln; pink eye, ear infections, and RSV. But, he is still smiling! Praying he starts to feel better and stay healthy.

Day 24: Thankful for a "snowday" since I would have had to stay home with Lincoln anyway. We spent the morning upstairs while Papa painted downstairs.
Day 25: Jackson was showing off his new hat. We love Bass Pro!
Lincoln checked out the fish for the first time.

Day 26: A little target practice at Drew's 5th birthday party.

Day 27: I spent another (partial) day at home with this cutie. He is still not 100%. We were soaking up some Vitamin D to kill the germs. So thankful for all of Sharon and Mel's help taking care of him.

"Snow" Days

We have had two days off due to ice here. I feel like God gave these days off just for me. Lincoln is still fighting RSV. I have been able to stay home with him and not have to miss school or use any sick days. He is in all the details!

I love this definition of a snow day that I saw on Facebook. I think it is pretty accurate!!

Grandma has played, played, and played some more with Jackson. They have an extensive truck shop up in Jackson's bedroom. She has also read a lot of books.
Lincoln has been a major mama's boy while fighting RSV. He won't let me be more than 2 inches from his side. He is on the mend but not quite a 100% yet.
We have to keep Jackson busy and entertained so he doesn't have a meltdown. He is so much better with a schedule and activity to do. He made a target for his bow and arrow and nerf gun. He had a blast shooting in the house.
And of course, Papa has been working the days away. We He is making progress and the kitchen is beginning to look really good. I am ready for the house to be back in order!
I am so thankful for these "snow" days even if there is actually no snow and it means going to school longer in June.
