Weekend Getaway Day 2

Ready for Day 2!
We were there right when the water park opened.
Jackson loves lazy rivers.
Anytime we go somewhere with one he spends the entire time swimming around in them. He ripped his first cast protector on a rock on the side on Day 1, so he was a bit more cautious this day.

After Lincoln's nap, we headed to Legoland Discovery Center. Jackson had been looking forward to this part of the trip forever!
Lincoln had a little bit of fun too!
Jackson and I on one of the rides at Legoland.
We spent over three hours at Legoland building and playing. Both boys crashed when we got into the car.
We drove to The Cheesecake Factory and let the boys sleep in the car. We enjoyed dinner, but the best part of The Cheesecake Factory is the cheesecake. We got Smore's Galore to go!
Another great day spent together!

Weekend Getaway Day 1

I take a lot of pictures so I am going to do separate posts for each day, good thing my boys are good sports!

On Saturday morning we hit the road headed for Dallas!
Starbucks, kolaches, and movies- we are ready!

After we checked into our room, we explored the hotel for a little bit.
It is absolutely a beautiful place. We loved how it felt like you were outside while being inside.

Next up, we took the trolley over to the resort's water park. Lincoln owned the kiddie pool! Everyone was commenting on his personality while he was laughing and splashing.
We headed back to the hotel so Lincoln could nap a little bit before dinner. He hasn't napped on me in a long time!
While Lincoln was napping, Jackson got to meet Toothless. He was so excited as this is his current favorite movie.

Once Lincoln was up from his nap, we headed out for dinner. We may be on vacation, but we still love Chick-fil-a!
Jackson snapped this picture of us on the way back to our room. The grounds around the hotel were beautiful as well.
And why not a little ice cream before bed, it's vacation!
These three boys wrestled nonstop on the beds:)
It was a great (tiring) first day!

Fourth of July

We had a fun filled fourth!
Thankfully, someone took Brian's call and he had the day off.

Jackson painted a flag for decoration!

We took the boys to our subdivision's parade in the morning.

We decorated the house and made a fruit/flag cookie for our cookout.

Aunt Midge, Uncle Dan, Kim, Johnathan, and Aaron came over, along with Katrina, Louis, and Titus.
LOVE this picture of the little guys-best buds in the making!
We bought a cast protector and double bagged Jackson arm so he could swim for a little bit.
We skipped going to see any fireworks so Lincoln could go to bed. So, Brian shot off a few little ones for Jackson. His favorite was the sword sparkler!
I love days filled with family and friends!

Unfortunately

Unfortunately, Jackson broke his left radius Friday night. We were out taking a bike ride as a family, as we do every night, and his front wheel got caught between the grass and sidewalk. As soon as he fell, he looked up at me and told me he broke his arm. I guess he was right!
Fortunately, Jackson has had a great attitude about the whole thing. He said at least I can play soccer!
Unfortunately, his arm was bent pretty bad and the doctor had to bend it in the office before he put the cast on.
Fortunately, Jackson was so tough and brave. No tears at all!
Unfortunately, he can't swim for the next 4-6 weeks. (I may be more bummed then he is. I am the one that has to keep him entertained!)
Fortunately, he likes milkshakes and movies!
We are very thankful for doctors that are good at what they do, but even more so care about their patients. We are praying for a complete, quick healing!

Since we are talking about Jackson...He has been wanting to put on concerts for us. He turns on his worship music and sings and worships God for us. It is the best thing, and I love that it is his own idea! Praying this spirit infuses his heart and mind.
I love this crazy, sassy, active, sweet BOY!

Day 168: Cooling off on a hot day with friends at the Splash Pad

Day 169: A busy day with shots, library, playing at home, and bowling. I am loving these summer days with my boys!

Day 170: Lots of laundry! Jackson got a stomach bug:(

Day 171: Date Night

Day 172: Glad our friends are back from vacation. I promise Titus was having fun!

Day 173: McDonald's for lunch and playtime after church since Daddy was working.
Lincoln loves fries, the complete opposite of Jackson.

Day 174: You never know who you will run into at the library!
