Memorizing Scripture V3:6

Psalm 48:14 "For this God is our God for ever and ever; He will be our guide even to the end."

I am choosing to memorize this verse because I love the promise that God is God forever. In this world there are so many things that can change in an instant, but God is always constant and faithful. We are walking into the unknown in many areas of our lives, and I know God will guide us.

#hartzeveryday2015 Week 9

Day 57: Being a Hartzler means playing Scrabble and playing it well. It has taken me many years to even be able to compete with Brian and his mom. Tonight Jackson and I beat them, hence Jackson's happy face.

 Day 58: Go Texan Day!
He is pretty excited about his new Mountain bike. Hopefully, he can figure out the hand breaks and no one steals this one!

 Day 59: Two Ninjas!
American Ninja Warrior Sam and Ninja Jackson!
Birthday party fun!

Day 60: Special birthday lunch for Jackson. He always chooses BJ's for the pizookie:)

Day 61: Jackson is loving his birthday present. We gave it to him a few days early, and he has already gotten our money out of it!

Day 62: Birthday boy! Papa and Grandma brought him lunch to school, he ate fish for dinner, went fishing, played basketball, and we ended with Menchies! I think he had a great birthday!!

Day 63: We said good bye to Papa and Grandma. We are so thankful for all the time we got to spend with them and their help!

More Celebrating

Jackson had more of a birthday week than just a birthday!:)

Birthday kolache- I love how he had to sit under his banner.

Birthday lunch at BJ's with Papa and Grandma

Small birthday celebration at home

Jackson has waited for 6 years for Papa Mel and Grandma Sharon to make it down for his birthday. I guess that means lots of cake and celebrating!

The birthday boy and me at school. He was so excited to hear his name on the announcements and get a birthday crown!

Papa and Grandma brought Jackson lunch at school on his birthday.
Papa made him the fish he caught fishing because that was his meal of choice for his birthday.

Such sweet memories with a sweet boy!

Ninja Party

Leading up to Jackson's party, I was just praying he would be healthy and able to go.

He loves to watch American Ninja Warrior and is quite the Ninja himself which inspired his birthday party!

The only things I did was to create an invitation and order the cookies to hand out as favors. That's the way to go!

Ready to party!

Sweet friends from school

The staff was amazing and kept the kids entertained and moving the whole time.
Jackson's favorite was the obstacle course.
The kids were wiped out after 2 hours of nonstop fun!

Aunt Midge did a great job (as always) on Jackson's cake.

We love Jackson!
My boy!

All of his friends that came to celebrate him. Thankful for all his friends from school, church, and our neighborhood.
Lincoln had a blast running around. Good thing Papa Mel was there to chase him around:)
He is a winner! Ninja medals tasted so good!

Ninja Sam Sann was so kind and Jackson can't stop talking about how much fun he had!

Another great party in the books!

Six Years of Jackson

This sweet boy made me a mom. It is a day I'll never forget.

From the time he was in my tummy, our first touch, and now six years later my love for him continues to grow. I could have never imagined all the fun and happiness he would bring.

Jackson is 4 ft 3 inches tall and loves all things sports related. He is a great little baseball, football, and basketball player and quite the Ninja and fishermen, too. He is a perfectionist, expressive, creative, competitive,  sensitive, charmer, and full of sweetness. His smile melts my heart and he is a Mommy's boy!

SIX

Jackson,
You are six today! How is that even possible?
I remember the first time I held you and thanked the Lord for entrusting you to me. You are such a blessing! I feel so blessed to be your Mommy. I am so proud of you. You are a hard worker, you can read and write and are good at sports. But what I love most is how you love the Lord and others! You know the importance of reading your Bible and memorizing God's word and you are always thinking of your brother and others who have less. I pray as you grow you continue to "act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God". I know He has big plans for you, and I can't wait to watch you become the man God created you to be.
Happy 6th Birthday! I love you!
Love, Mommy

Memorizing Scripture V3:5

I am choosing to memorize Proverbs 18:10 "The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe."

This last week was a bit trying. Our bikes were stolen from the garage, Lincoln was sick, then Brian, then Jackson, and a few other small things happened. In each circumstance I chose to praise Him and run to Him. When I did that peace and thankfulness filled my heart.

I love the embrace, closeness, and safety I fill in His arms. Run to Him today!
