The Zoo

Saturday was beyond beautiful and what a better way to spend it than outside at the Zoo! We got there 10 mins before they opened and enjoyed less people and cooler temps.

Jackson requested to see the Sea Lions almost right away, good thing because we got to see the Zoo Keepers feed them breakfast. 

Not a whole show, but more fun than them just swimming in the water.

First trip riding in the wagon. He loved jumping in and out.

Zebras

Jackson's favorite part is feeding the giraffes. I don't think it will ever get old.

Down in the cave we got to get up close with the lions. 

Fun times and memories made as a family!



Memorizing Scripture V2:3

Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

 

I have heard this saying many times 'Happiness is fleeting, but JOY is eternal' and it is found in HIM. If my heart is focused on the truth of His word and not the world I can rest secure and truly realized just how blessed I am. Some days it is easy to get caught up and want the things I do not have. Jesus is always enough and the joy that comes with it is something I never want to lose.

 

This verse will be a daily reminder to me what I should be treasuring and the joy I can experience.

22 weeks

 

 

Cravings: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sleep: Not that great, weird dreams ands till getting up at least once to use the restroom

Symptoms: Tired

Movement: Lots and lots, love this constant reminder of my little boy

Maternity clothes: Yes, belly really popped (feeling big this week)

Size of baby: 11 inches, size of spaghetti squash

What I miss: A good nights sleep

Gender: Boy. Love all the kisses Jackson wants to give him and the sweet prayers

Looking forward to: Weekend fun with Brian and Jackson, next doctor's appointment

Kitty House

On Sunday, Jackson got the crazy idea that he needed to make a kitty house for Kali. Kali is the cat that lives on our street. He was very concerned for her and where she sleeps when it rains and at night.

 

Thankfully, his Daddy is handy and loves him. Brian made all the sides to the kitty house and Jackson helped him drill holes and put the screws in.

 They brought the house inside to paint it and let it dry over night.

Monday after school, Jackson had Daddy paint CAT on the front. Now Kali knows it is just for her:)

Sweet boy was so excited about the Kitty house Daddy and him made. He checks it each night in hopes of seeing Kali in there. No luck yet, cross your fingers for us!

Party It Up

The weather here has been just gorgeous!

 

We had 2 parties to go to on Saturday. We spent the morning outside at Ella's 1st birthday party. I met her mommy through work and hope to work with her again. Hint, hint Caroline!

As soon as we got home, Jackson went down for a nap. When he got up we were off to Drew's 4th birthday party at a local gymnastics place.  

 Jackson played hard and had a great time running and jumping with his friends. Two cupcakes in one day always makes for a great day!

I also worked on creating some of my pins for Jackson's tractor party. Now if I could just make up my mind on a few other details we'll be all set.

I can't believe he will be four in about one month!

21 weeks

 

Cravings: Nothing specific this week, just HUNGRY all the time

 

Sleep: Still getting up at least once to use the restroom

Symptoms: Feeling really good

Movement: Lots of kicks, Brian even felt him

Maternity clothes: I am wearing a mixture of both

Size of baby: Length of a carrot

What I miss: Really not much, overall I feel great and thankful for this little boy

Gender: Boy, Now to finalize a name

Looking forward to: Bedtime each night, I am tired!

Everything at the ultrasound looked good. He is weighing 15 ounces and measuring 21 weeks 2 days, just 2 days ahead.

So thankful for each and every kick and my growing belly because it means a healthy little boy.
