WI Vacation Days 8-11

On Friday, we headed over to the pool.
The water and weather were too cold for me to get in. Lincoln went down his first "big" water slide. But, his favorite thing to do was push Papa in the tube under the water!

We attempted a picture with all the cousins. That went well, ha!!

That evening we took Papa Gary a birthday present, rode the Gator, and played on his tractor.

Saturday was our last day back in Wisconsin. We played at the park by Brian's parents house.

Jackson with Alivia and Abby

He turns everything in to a Ninja course.

Then, it was time for Darcy's wedding.
Picture with my family mins Brian.

Picture with Brian's parents.

Jackson had fun at the dance, he loved to spin me!

Sunday morning we woke up and headed out early. 12 hours made for a long first day, but left us with only 6.5 the next day.

We made lots of memories, and it is always nice to see our families. Too bad TX and WI are so far apart!

WI Vacation Day 7

Thursday was our 10th anniversary! We knew we wanted to do something together but didn't know what to do in WI. Of course, we would have loved to be a week long tropical vacation!!

We decided on a canoe trip down Crystal River.
We had heard different reviews and were a bit nervous about going and still liking each other at the end. Ha! Either way we knew it would be memorable!

The trip was fun with beautiful views. We stopped by the waterfall for a little bit to cool off. We had a great time navigating the rocks and hanging out together. We almost capsized one time, but Brian jumped ship to save me from going in. The water was not deep, however I did not want to get scraped on the rocks.
Our canoe had a small hole and by the end was taking on quite a bit of water. We really enjoyed the trip but by the end (2.5-3 hours) my arms were getting tired, and I was super glad to see the ending dock.
After the canoe trip, we had lunch on the river and stopped to shop on the way back home. It was a fun day with my love!

Best wife award goes to me for letting my boys fish on our anniversary, ha! Jackson caught his biggest fish yet, 20 inch sheepshead.
So thankful for Brian and all he does for me and the boys. The Lord has been faithful and taught us many things over the 10 years. The best advice I can give you is to work on your relationship with the Lord and pray for your spouse daily. Can't wait for our next 10 years!!

WI Vacation Day 5 & 6

Tuesday morning we went over to Lakeside Park.
First, we climbed the lighthouse and played at the park.

We spent the rest of the morning riding the train, whip it, merry go round, and petting the animals.

Jackson requested a selfie with the A&W Bear at lunch:)

That evening, Mel and Brian fried fish for everyone and the boys played with their cousins.

Wednesday was spent at Green Lake.
We had a picnic lunch and the kids played in the sand and lake for a while.
Jackson and Leo loved playing together.

Once my parents arrived with their boat, we headed out in both boats to tube and swim on the sandbar.

Lots of fun tubing! Lily wanted me to ride with her:)

It was a little chilly for the Texas people on the lake. Photo bomb by Leo!

Of course there was some fishing that took place while we were out on the lake.

We went into Green Lake docked the boat and enjoyed pizza all together.
The sun was beginning to set as we rode back in and it was beautiful.

Thankful for a fun day together with our families!

WI Vacation Day 4

Every morning Brian and I took a walk, the crisp air was a welcomed feeling.

Monday morning we headed over to the park by my parent's house to play.

Ninja Jackson

Then we headed to Cave of the Mounds to tour the cave.
Jackson and Lincoln mining for rocks.

Lincoln ended up getting kicked out of the cave for being too loud, but we sure had a great time!

I found the cave so interesting, and just in awe of God's creation.

Jackson loved the tour and was very interested in all our guide had to say.

Uncle Mike came along!

Good thing mom came along so she could watch Lincoln:)

Once we made it back to town, we headed right out to Lake Winnebago to go on the boat with Mel.

Beautiful evening on the lake!

Lincoln and I fished for about 2 hours and the rest of the crew stayed out even later.
Jackson caught us enough fish to bring some back to Texas for dinner.:)

WI Vacation Days 1-3

We just got back from a 12 day vacation/roadtrip to WI. We are had a wonderful time, but are exhausted and glad to be home.

A week ago early Friday morning after a pit stop for kolaches and coffee, we headed out.
I sat on the back bench sandwiched in between the boys. Lots of fun in the backseat!!

We stopped in Springfield for the night and went past our old stomping ground.

Love the clock tower on campus now!

And made a trip to Bass Pro Shop to check out all of the animals.

We headed out early Saturday morning for the last leg of our trip to WI.

We passed the time looking for different state license plates, reading, watching movies, playing scrabble, and napping. We ended up finding 33 different states.
We made it to Brian's parents house around 4:30 and my parents came over for dinner. It is always so good to see our families.

We spent time outside playing with cousins and enjoying the cooler temperatures.

Jackson wasted no time and went fishing with Papa, Daddy, and Leo.

Sunday morning we slept in and went to church. Brian sang and did a great job.

We hung out at his parents house, and then went to watch a little bit of my dad's tractor pull.
Brian and I used to spend many days at these during our dating days. This was Jackson's first one.

That evening we went back to my parent's house to spend a few nights.

Lots of time spent playing with Papa and Grandma and our cousins.
