Memorizing Scripture V2:4

Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your requests to the Lord."

I am not one who worries a lot, but I do tend to be a planner:) Lately, there a few things I that I fear (healthy pregnancy and Lincoln, Brian's health, Jackson, etc). I know that I can do absolutely nothing and worrying does not add a single minute to my life. So, instead of worrying or even analyzing over it I will present my requests to the Lord. I am looking forward to God's grace and peace that will wash over me.

24 Weeks

Cravings: Peanuts (thanks Lindsey!), and just plain hungry

Sleep: Better this week

Symptoms: Uncomfortable at times, I think I there is a foot between my ribs

Movement: Lots and lots, love this constant reminder of my little boy

Maternity clothes: Yes, really a mixture of both for tops

Size of baby: Ear of corn

Gender: Boy, Lincoln Wayne

What I miss: Nothing, feeling good besides a cold that is creeping in. So, maybe I miss being able to take more medicine than Tylenol and Sudafed

Looking forward to: Picking out fabric/finalizing ideas for Lincoln's room

Comparison picture: I think my belly really popped this week. However, I think my belly might have been bigger with Jackson at this point. I have gained about the same amount of weight.
We continue to be so very thankful for the gift of Lincoln and stand in awe how the Lord worked everything out in His time. Please continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy for Lincoln and me.

More Bowling

Uncle Mike is down here visiting. We were going to go to Brazos State Park, but since it was a rainy Sunday we went bowling.
Jackson had NO objection to that!
He remembered exactly what to do. He even got quite comfortable watching his ball go down the lane. Silly goose!
 Uncle Mike and Jackson
He had a little less patience in between turns with so many people bowling, but nothing a few Skittles couldn't take care of between turns.

The Dentist

Jackson had his first visit to the dentist.

All week we talked about it and read Little Critter Goes to the Dentist. All the way from preschool to the dentist office he talked about keeping his mouth opened wide and being good enough for a sticker.
He mostly kept his eyes glued on the TV. Every now and then he would reach out and touch me. They were able to even take a few x-rays.
The dentist said no cavities and all looks good. Of course he was shy, but other then that did great!
He jumped right up at the end when they asked if he wanted to pick a toy from the treasure chest.
Proud of my boy for sitting so still and being cooperative.

Everyone mentions the connection of presidents to both Jackson and Lincoln. Lincoln is obvious and Jackson never crossed our mind as a presidents. Either way we don't care and LOVE his name!
I had to share this email from my mother-in-law it is just too funny.

For the record we do like Kennedy, so if there is a girl you just never know.

From The Mouth of Jackson

I keep a running list of the funny things he says on my phone, but I still forget to put of few of them down. Jackson keeps us laughing!

"I come before you in the name of The Lord." One day when playing battle with his trucks and me.

"I am a million happy, Daddy." After Brian told him we could put up the Christmas tree.

"When can we go to King Burger? I haven't been there since I was born." He would ask this at least once a week after Burger King remodeled by Kroger. We finally fulfilled his dreams last weekend!
"I have to give you a kiss and hug so I won't fight with you." To Brian and me after we were talking about obeying the first time.

"The AAA man only has a little magic, God is a a lot of magic. " After the AAA guy had come to get my keys out of my car.

"Well, actually." How he starts most of his responses now days.
One day when I asked him how are you so big. He answered, "God just makes me grow like crazy."

"Mom, I am just making L's." His comeback when I asked why he was pointing his fingers at me and making a mean face.

Brian was singing "Victory in Jesus" and Jackson got really upset because Victorie is his friend's name from preschool. He told Brian to sing, "Victory and Jackson in Jesus."
LOVE this silly, sweet, sensitive, and dramatic boy!
