Cougar Camp and a Deal

Cougar Camp is a fun name for Saturday school! I just got back from teaching at Saturday school. However, I enjoyed myself immensely. I only had seven 1st graders. If only that was the case everyday. I love my job each day, but after today I remember why I teach. The kids were so excited to see me, were having so much fun learning, and I was able to strength our relationships. I even found $20 on my way into school:)

While I was making money, my husband was out spending in on a new fridge for our new house. (Needless to say, I didn't make that much) The one we have now was a steal at $200 because it has a few dents, nothing a magnet does not hide. The new one was even a better deal. It retails at $1300, and Brian got it for 50% off. He wheeled and dealed with the manager and got it for that price only if he took it right away. It does have a little scratch on the front, but nothing appliance paint can't take care of. So thanks to Uncle Dan because he drove over to Lowe's and picked it up for us. It is a side by side and has a water filter!!! Then, Brian mentioned he needed to pick up a gallon of paint and the manager gave him a new gallon of paint for $5!

Now, we need to keep a look out for a deal on a micorwave and stove (the ones at the new house aren't the best).

32 weeks

32 down and 8 to go! The doctor told me Jackson weighed in closer to 4 pounds and from the measurements got a new due date of March 2nd. He told me a hide a big baby well, ha! That is about 9 day earlier than my due date. I am hoping to work to March 6th, so we shall see. I will start going to the doctor every two weeks. Everything continues to look good. Praise God. My stomach and butt continues to grow like crazy and I feel huge already. I am so blessed and thankful for this experience, but I really can't wait to wear my jeans and feel "normal" again.
When I make an effort to stand up tall.
Normal stance of my boobs and stomach pulling me forward:)
Thanks for all your prayers!

A Big Boy?

We had an ultrasound yesterday and she estimated Jackson to weigh about 3 1/2 pounds. Very average according to what I have read. My dr said you can add 4 to 4 1/2 pounds and that is about how much he will weigh when he is born. So, hopefully Jackson will not be much over 8 pounds. I go see the doctor on Wednesday, please pray everything else is still looking good. My mom wants to buyher plane ticket for Jackson's birth, but I don't want to be the one to tell her the date and then miss the day he is born. Any ideas?

I am getting to the point where I want to have everything ready for when Jackson comes. But, that is for sure not going to happen because we might not even be in our new house. One thing I want to do is to find a cute homecoming outfit for him. I am having a hard time finding a boy outfit I really like, that is not a sleeper or an outfit with pants that look more like sweat pants than pants. Sounds like I need to go shopping!

Am I getting old

IF I got really excited about a GREAT deal on a vacuum and a stroller?

We needed a new vacuum but didn't just want to buy just a cheaper one from like Target. We wanted one that really works. We saw Oreck was having a holiday sale. When we got to the store, we found out it was the old model they were getting rid of. Brian dealed with the man and got us the newer model (retail price $299), canister vacuum (retail price $199), and cordless floor vacuum instead of an iron (retail price $99) all for only $299. So far we love the Oreck and would highly recommend it!!! **The canister is on back order so that is why it is not in the picture**
I really wanted a Chicco stroller and had register for one, even though they are $300. After my shower back home I had enough money for a stroller from Babies R Us, just not the Chicco one. And I had a hard time justifying spending that much on a stroller when there were cheaper ones that seemed just as nice. Well, yesterday when we went to Babies R Us to buy a stroller we saw a stroller a Chicco stroller by some clearance items but it wasn't mark down. Brian asked the store manager and he said it was display model and would give us 15% of the price. Chicco strollers were also $25 dollars off and I had another $25 coupon for Chicco strollers which they let me use. (The stroller rang up at $289 instead of $299 at the register, and they gave us the 15% off before the $25 off.) Grand total of the Chicco stroller was $192 and I had $200 in gift cards!!
God is faithful even in the "small" things!!

30 weeks and a house

Today is December 30th:
1. I am 30 weeks today.
2. We bought a house!

The first one I expected, the other one is still a bit of a shock. We put an offer on a house yesterday. Our relator didn't expect to hear anything back for about a week. The house is bigger and a great deal. The house is a short sale (I do not totally understand this part), so we are not able to move in for 60-90 days. If you do the math that is around the time I will be in labor or just home from the hospital. I must be crazy to agree to all of this. I told Brian upfront I will not be much help in this move. Like the last time we bought a house, this is a total God thing. We are trusting him to provide a buyer or renter before we move into our new house. I will miss the house we are in now. It was our first home together, and I really do like it. We are just outgrowing it:) I will post pictures of our house once we move in and decorate it to fit our personality.
Please continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy. Please also pray that God would provide the right couple/person for our house and that they would be blessed by the house as much as we have been.

Family Time

Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope your was filled with love and family like mine.
My famiy just left this morning. The house is quiet, empty, and I miss them already. Although it is sometimes choatic when you add 5 extra people to your house, but I wouldn't have traded it for anything. It was so fun hanging out with them the last week. My dad is a genuine man who is fun to hang out with, my mom is such a generous loving lady, and Garrison and Katelyn are well all round too cute and funny. I wish I lived closer so I could go hang out more often. We didn't do a whole lot of super exciting things, but the things we did do were filled with lots of laughs and quality time together.
