Life Lived

Between waking up in the middle of the night to feed Lincoln, getting up early for school, teaching all day, pumping, and life after school I am wiped by Friday. I was so exhausted I actually took a nap after dinner, exciting life we live over here!:)

Saturday morning, the boys and I had a date to Panera. Pumpkin pie bagel and a latte are not a bad way to start a morning.

Next, we headed up to Church to meet Coach Brian. Jackson was supposed to have a soccer clinic, but it was cancelled due to weather. Instead, Jackson got his uniform, and we met our team. We spent the rest of the day practicing soccer. Someone is pretty excited about the season!

Sam joined us for Church and lunch today. We heard a great message about grace and living for Him.
 So thankful she did and that I get to work with her each day.

I am not perfect nor is our family, but I am so thankful God gave them to me and he lavishes his love on us daily. So blessed!

"Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23

Four Months of Lincoln

Lincoln's personality shines through more each day. He is such a happy boy!
He wakes up smiling and talking. Jackson can sure make him laugh, especially when he jumps up in front of him.
He weighs 15 pounds 2.5 ounces and is 26 inches long. We made another jump up in diapers to size 3. He is still wearing 3-6 and 6 month clothes but it is all getting a bit snug.
Lincoln loves to eat! He drinks 6-7 ounces every 3-4 hours and takes 8-9 ounces in his last bottle before bed. He usually falls to sleep between 7 and 8. If I am lucky he sleeps until 4:00 or 5 before waking up to nurse. However, we still have several nights where he will wake up at 2:30 or 3 to nurse. Some nights I can get his pacifier to do the trick.
We are not on consistent schedule with naps. Some days at school he naps no more than an hour all day and other days he will take a 3 hour nap. At home we try to get a morning, afternoon, and evening nap.
Lincoln has mastered a few new things this month. He can now roll from his belly to his back and his back to his belly. He will not do this trick in front of the camera though:) He also likes the jumperaoo.
He has a cough and congestion that we think is from allergies. We took him to the doctor and there is nothing we can do but elevate his head when he sleeps and run the humidifier. I am praying it clears up soon.

I can't believe how much you have grown in 4 months. I am so thankful you are healthy. I prayed so long for you, it is such a blessing watching you grow and be your mom. You make me so proud just being you and that will never change. Just when I think I can't love you more you smile at me and my heart grows ten times. You love watching your brother and he is pretty protective of you. I can't wait to see you guys become best friends and play together. Oh, I am sure there will be some fights, but I am praying you are each other's biggest fans. Your daddy and I are so thankful for you and are praying that you are a man of God that lives with integrity in all he does.

David Crowder

Brian had asked me what I wanted for my birthday, and I told him a night out with him. I didn't want just a movie/dinner date. We did some research and found out David Crowder was going to be playing after an Astros' game. We both enjoy going to baseball games and both love David Crowder, so it was a win win!
We splurged on better than top deck seats and dinner at the ball park. The Astros lost (no surprise there), but we enjoyed the game and each other's company and conversation.
After the game, we moved closer to where David Crowder would be playing. We ended up being only about 5 rows back. He is so lively and fun! The concert and worshiping God in the stadium with many other Houstonians was a blast!

My friend Sam came and watched the boys for us. We are so thankful for her, and it looks like Jackson had too much fun without us.:)
I couldn't have pick a better birthday present, and I am so blessed to have spent the last 15 birthdays with the one I love most!

What I'm Loving

I have been enjoying a bunch of free treats from various places thanks to my birthday. Starbucks was probably the best!
 
This little guy is one of the happiest babies. His smiles, laughs, and coos melt my heart. I couldn't love him more!
 
Brian and I have a weekly date watching Duck Dynasty together.
 It makes us happy, happy, happy!
 
Jackson LOVES school, and I love that he is excited to go.  Most days when Brian gets there to pick Jackson up he has to wait because Jackson wants to finish the lesson with Ms. Eunice.
It's Jackson week!
 
Each day I look forward to 4:10. I actually have a great group of students, but I can't wait to see my boys. The evenings are crazy, hectic, and fun! I wouldn't trade it for anything. It is my favorite part of the day!

Thirty

I turned the big 3-0 on Tuesday!
 
 Brian, Jackson, and Lincoln showered me with love all day long. My team and students also made me feel very loved. Sam brought me Starbucks and breakfast and my students brought several of my favorite things. Aunt Midge snuck over to our house during the day and left a surprise as well.
 We went out to dinner at Chuy's and took a walk. A perfect evening in my book!
 
The best present is these 3 boys in my life. I am one blessed lady!
30 is looking pretty good so far!

Labor Day Weekend

We enjoyed a lot of family time this weekend.
 
Saturday we ran errands and had movie night. We now have a monitor for Lincoln. Once his cold is gone, he will be moving into his room. 
And it was free, can't beat that!
Sunday we went to church and bowling. Jackson had to sit out the first game because of some poor choices at home. I have never bowled worse than I did this day, but at least I was with some fun people.
 
Monday morning Jackson and I took a bike ride while Brian took Lincoln and himself to Urgent Care. He has strep throat and Lincoln has a cold (nothing we can do for him).
We rescheduled the cook out with Aunt Midge and her family and just laid low at home.
 Every minute with my family is a blessing!

Memorizing Scripture V2:17

 
I am revisiting 2 verses this go around. They are verses I need to be saying all day long as I have a lot to get done in a day. Jackson has also been testing the water lately. I will be praying for the Lord to strengthen him and protect his heart from the evil one.
 
Psalm 54:4 "Surely God is my help; the Lord is the ONE who sustains me."
2 Thessalonians 3:3 "But the Lord is faithful. He will give you strength and protect you from the evil one."
 
Jackson's verse: James 1:19 "Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow get angry."
