Goodies

Yesterday, I received an Edible arrangement at school from Brian. It was a great way to end my last day at school. I needed a pick me up. Thanks so much honey:)
It was a weird feeling leaving school, it is not time for summer break. I am leaving my students and classroom in the hands of someone else. I know it is beyond my control, but I am praying she does well and takes care of my babies. I am off until April 27th and can't wait to spend some time with Brian, Jackson, and our families.
Brian brought home the biggest gift bag I have ever seen from work yesterday. (I should have taken a picture:) His co-workers filled it up with lots and lots of things for Jackson. We got some more diapers, wipes, lotion, outfits, blankets, pacifers, onesies, shoes, and toys. One of the outfits has a cow on it, and I absolutely love it! It reminds me of home. Thanks a bunch to all the x-ray techs at Texas Orthropedic.
3 days, not including today, until we meet Jackson!!!!

38 weeks

I feel great, just tired! God has truly kept his hand upon me through out this whole pregnancy. 2 more days of school and 5 more days till we meet Jackson:) I was able to make it to my hair appt. last night, so now he can come any time! My mom was able to change her flight and is flying in on Monday and my dad and sister are driving down and should be here sometime Tuesday. The whole pregnancy seems to have gone so fast, but at the same time I feel I have been pregnant forever. I am still not sure I fully comprehend that I am going to have a baby next week.
Here I am at 38 weeks, please no judging, I know I am HUGE! Please pray for a healthy delivery and baby.

P.S. We had two showing on our house today and one was a re-showing:) Please continue to pray! We really appreciate your prayers.

The Countdown Begins...

7 days until we meet Jackson!
At my appointment today the doctor told me I was now 2.5cm dilated, 35% thinned, and his head has dropped even lower. My blood pressure was a bit higher than normal for me. Normally it has been 118/76 and today it was 118/86. But, the doctor wasn't too concerned because I lost 2 pounds and did not have protein in my urine- which are all good things. He wants Friday to be my last day at school, so 4 more days with my students and a few days to get everything in order for my sub. I have another appointment scheduled for next Monday morning if everything turns out well I will have an induction Tuesday morning at 6:00 am. Unless Jackson and God have other plans and he comes earlier than that:)
So until then I have plenty of things to do!
This is my new favorite spot in the house and probably will be until Jackson arrives:)
On another note, please pray for our house situation. Someone is really interested in buying it, please pray that they would make an offer:) Again, God's timing is perfect. Normally I am not home during the day but I took today off. Our agent called and needed me to do some different things for this interested buyer, which I would not have been able to do if I was at school!

School Baby Shower

Today after school, my wonderful 1st grade team threw me a baby shower. They are sooo sweet! Everything was so cute and yummy:) It was fun to hang out with my coworkers in a different atmosphere. They are so fun and make coming to school each day even easier. Again, I am so blessed by all the special people in my life. I got a lot of necessities and some very cute newborn outfits. I can't wait to dress Jackson up (sounds like he is my doll)!

The spread of food! Yummy!

Don't judge me, it was a long day at school!

Isn't the cake adorable? I was lucky enough to get two cakes from my friend Deanna!

The first grade gang (minus Melissa and Susi), I love you guys! Thanks a bunch!!!

37 weeks

I still can't believe I am still posting these pictures! I am now 2cm dilated but have not thinned anymore. My doctor is gone for the weekend, so please pray I make it to my next appointment on Monday. I am going to take Monday off just to relax and get ahead in my masters class. I am now retaining water. I could not wear my ring to school today and by the end of the day my ankles are swollen. I am sitting with my feet up in the recliner right now:) I am curious to see how much Jackson weighs and what day he will come! Cast your vote to the right:)

Jackson's Room?

Last night I had Brian bring in the changing table and hang Jackson's name above his crib. No, I didn't get to paint or decorate his nursery. But that will hopefully happen soon enough. (We still do not have a close date on our house or any buyers. Please continue to pray for this situation, we know God's timing is PERFECT!) I just wanted to have something ready for when he comes. I realized this kid needs more clothes. I can't wait to meet him and know what size clothes I need to buy. I can't wait to shop for him and me post pregnancy:) I took a blanket to get monnogrammed with his name on tonight. I wanted to have something to take to the hospital with his name on it. Hopefully, it is done before he comes!

I have begun writing out scripture that gives me complete peace, reminds me of his love and strength that comes from Him. This paper will be one of the items in my hospital bag. I plan on reading these verses over and over through the delivery process:) I have Jackson's diaper bags packed and ready to go, mine is a work in progress! I am really anxious and can't believe sometime in the real near future I will have a son. Hopefully, I am ready!

Happy Valentine's Day

1 John 4:19 "We love because he first loved us."

Brian was very sweet! He made me a video card (that he posted below), sent me an edible arrangement (which never made it to my school), and took me to the Woodlands. Since the edible arrangement never got to me, he ended up getting it for free. I thought that was even better, but Brian was upset he didn't get to surprise me at work. The fruit was delicious and I ate it all in ONE day:) He definitely knows what I love!

We then drove up to The Woodlands and spent the night at the Marriott Waterway. We had such a great time just hanging out together, probably our last time to get away just the two of us for a while:) We walked along the waterway, shopped, ate LOTS of food (or at least I did), and relaxed. I picked to eat at Genghis Grill, where you get to create your own stir fry. I love stir fry, I think I enjoyed it way too much!
Here are a few pictures from the weekend:

My Beautiful LOVE!

Normally Kyndra is the one posting so I hope I am doing this right! I Want everyone who reads this blog to know what a wonderful woman my beautiful wife Kyndra is. Close your eyes and imagine a place more beautiful than any other. A place where you are accepted for who you are and never judged or looked down upon. Where its always warm and cozy and everyone around you makes you feel special. You never have to worry about time because time seems to stand still. When your there your problems seem to disappear and you can't help but put a smile on your face. You feel safe. That is how Kyndra makes me feel every day! She is truly amazing. But I don't want just to tell you how she makes me feel but i want to tell you what kind of a woman she is also. She is a strong God fearing woman. She loves Jesus first and most importantly. She loves her family and she loves my family. She is extremely passionate about children. She pours her heart out into her job teaching first graders every day. She not only wants them to learn but she wants them to feel the love of jesus christ through her. Kyndra never puts her own needs first and she is always willing to lend a hand when there is a need for it. She is smart, hardworking, self driven, funny and i am so proud of everything she has accomplished. She is beautiful in every way. She is my besft friend and the love of my life. I can't wait to see what our future holds. Kyndra, I love you more than yesterday! Here is a song i heard that makes me think of you(kyndra).(sorry the quality of the video isn't the best but i'm not sure how to make it better) pause the music at the bottom of the page before pressing play!

Some progress

Yesterday marked the start of 36 weeks. I had a doctor's appointment today and my first pelvic exam. He told me that most first time mothers would be 0 cm dilated, 0% thinned out, and baby would be way up in North Dakota. Well after the exam, he said he should have known I wouldn't be normal:) I am 1.5 cm dilated, 20/30% thinned out, and baby is in Kansas! He said he could feel his head. I will now be going every week. The doctor thinks I will at least make it two more weeks, but we shall see:) I am now a little nervous... it is soooo close. We are going away to the Woodlands this weekend, hopefully nothing happens then or while I am at school:) Please continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy and baby. I am so thankful everything has gone well so far.

The Men In My Life

In Sunday school today, we had to make a list of things we liked about our spouses. This made me think about the other men in my life. God has surrounded with some great men, who I have learned many things from. These men are not perfect in any way, but all seek to lead their families and love the Lord.

My Dad is a man:
-who loves his family deeply
-works very hard to provide for his family
-lives his life to honor God
-always lends a helping hand
-has a quiet time every morning
-prays with his children
-doesn't care what others think of him
-is passionate about trucks and farming
-spoils his daughters:)
-very humble
-and many other noble things

My Father-in-law is a man:
-loves to worship the Lord through music
-that is passionate to lead others to the Lord
-who is a master carpenter and shares his talents with others
-loves his family
-gives good advice
-and many more things

My Husband is a man:
-who also loves to worship the Lord through music
-who is seeking to know God more each day
-who has a sense of humor and makes me laugh daily
-who is always easy going and relaxed
-that can bargain like no other:)
-that seeks to lead our family each day
-that prays for our family
-who puts my needs before his own
-who tries to open my car door every time we are in the car
-who is going to be a Great dad
-always cheers me up
-and many more

Hopefully My Son will be a man:
-who accepts Christ as his Lord and Savior
and
-who is a combination of the 3 great men listed above!

Jackson,
Your dad and I will raise you the best we can with God as our guide. We will surround you with people who love and encourage you and people who are Godly examples. We can't wait to meet you and see the personality you will have.
Proverbs 22:6 "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."

The food was scrumptious, decorations looked great, the cake was homemade and looked awesome, and the company of friends was wonderful. Jackson got lots of nice things:) I can't wait to have a nursery and a place for all his things. I LOVE to look at everything!! Thanks everyone, I am glad to have you all as friends! A few pictures from the shower. Enjoy!
