A Few More

A few more pictures from our time with Papa and Grandma that never got posted.

So glad they finally got to watch Jackson swim!!

Beautiful weather called for hot tub time!

They also got to cheer him on at a basketball game!
Jackson loves playing pretend, doing puzzles, and reading with Grandma.

And of course, some fishing with Papa!

So thankful for our time together with them!

Visitors

We were blessed to have some visitors for the last 2 weeks.

They were able to go to church with us. Jackson even went to the service with us and copied down verses and sang the songs.

The boys fished alot, and Sharon kept my house cleaned, clothes put away, and food on the table!

We spent a Saturday at the Science Museum with them.
Jackson was like Jack with his map and wanting to write down facts in his notebook!
Jackson has been watching Night at the Museum, so he was beyond giddy to go to the museum.
He even got to help with a science experiment.
Lincoln had fun, but wanted to be in no pictures.

 Fun morning together.
So thankful for our time with family, but wish TX and WI weren't so far apart!

Papa and Grandma

Papa and Grandma left after a great 2 week visit. We all had a great time with them. I know the boys will miss playing with them a lot, and we will miss their help with the house/yard work, dinner, and the boys!

Soaking up the sun and warm weather that is not in Wisconsin.

Jackson loves playing with Grandma. Here there are veterinarians taking care of all the sick of animals. I wish had some pictures of Papa and Lincoln playing outside. They would play in the sand, drive Lincoln's cars, and go to the park.

Of course, Papa had to get some Spring Creek BBQ while he was here. My boys like it just as much!

Enjoying the beautiful weather and company at dinner

So thankful that Papa and Grandma were able to watch Jackson play football.

Sharon and Mel watched the boys overnight so we could celebrate Brian's birthday. We enjoyed a night out at the Crowder concert, hotel stay, and a massage in the morning.

Such a cute picture

Saying good bye is never easy, but we are thankful for the time we spent with them.

A Quick Visit

Mel and Sharon just returned home from a brief visit to see us. Jackson couldn't wait for them to get here. He stayed home a few days from school to play with Papa and Grandma.

Jackson talked Papa into getting him breakfast almost every morning! They also played a lot of soccer at the park.
Lincoln gave them lots of smiles and laughs.
We are all spoiled when they are here.
We are thankful for time with family,
and wish Wisconsin wasn't so far away!

The Rest Of The Week

Jackson was able to spend a lot of time with Papa Gary, Grandma Elly, Garrison, and Katelyn while they were here.

During the week Jackson;
-skipped preschool on Monday and went to Chuck E Cheese with them
-had Grandma take and pick up from preschool almost every day
-had lunch at McDonald's with them
-had to sit and watch us eat Menchies (it's tough being 3)
-played at the park with Garrison and Katelyn
-ate and played at Chick-fil-a

-spent the evening with Papa and Grandma while we went on a date
We went to Chuy's for dinner and to see Here Come the Boom. Seriously one of the funnies and most inspiring movie I have seen in a while. Go see it!
All the kids wanted a picture with us!

-fought, cried, loved, and played with Garrison and Katelyn every day

After we got home from breakfast Saturday morning Jackson said, "I sure do miss them and wish they were still here." That's the worst part of living so far away.
Thankful for our time together!

Sunday and Monday

Spring Break is an awesome thing!
I love what I do, but I also love some time off to relax and have some fun with the ones I love.

Sunday morning we all went to church together dashing the rounds of downpour. Jackson liked showing Katelyn where to go for Sunday school with him.:)
Of course, Jackson talked Papa into going to Firehouse Subs for lunch.
The rain held off long enough for the boys to go swimming and try out Jackson's new birthday present. Jackson loved soaking Papa!
Brian and I snuck out on a date Sunday evening. We did some shopping and went to see a movie. We always enjoy our time out alone!

I enjoyed sleeping in a bit Monday morning. After a quick dentist appointment and lunch out, we decided to go to Pump It Up to like the kids play.
 Katelyn and Garrison loved it!
Jackson loved having Papa in the bouncers to play with and jump on. You can't even see my Dad in this picture because all the kids are on top of him!
These slides are really fun, and I always get a good work out jumping and playing with Jackson.
Lots of fun had by everyone!
Jackson was worn out by the time we left.
After naps and dinner, we ventured out to the park hoping it wasn't too wet.
The swings were the biggest hit this night!
We kept playing once we got home and went swimming again.
Flat Stanley joined in the fun too!

Friday Night Foodball

Jackson has been talking about going to a football game with Papa since he got this football shirt about a month ago. Last night, we told him we were going to go to a game with Papa. He was excited, but he wouldn't put his clothes back on. He was really upset with us until I realized why. Since the shirt was long sleeve and the fall weather hasn't quite arrived, we just rolled up the sleeves and wore it with some shorts.
We went for dinner and frozen yogurt before the game. The highschool were Jackson will go in 13 years (if we don't move) was playing so we sat on their side. Jackson couldn't wait to get into the stadium.
His enthuasium changed to pouts when he realized he couldn't go on the field and play with them. I imagine Brian and I might spend many Friday nights in these bleachers once Jackson is older.
We moved all the way down to the front, and then he found a little bit of interest in the game.
Right before half-time I realized the other team was my friend's husband's team. I knew she would be in the stands since he has to be there to coach. Brian and I walked to the other side and were actually able to find her. I also ran into another sweet friend too. God knew I needed to see both of them last night!
He got restless and bored of course! Grandma took him for a walk, and Papa bought him some Kettle corn. Those things helped him last until half-time!

Fishin' the Night Away

After Jackson woke up from his nap yesterday, we loaded up the car to take him fishing for the first time. We were hoping that he would at least catch one fish. He caught one about 1 minute after he threw his line in the first time. Boy, was he excited and hooked on fishing after that!
We would throw his line in and within 1-2 minutes he had another little fish.
Grandma held the important Spiderman tackle box.
 Fishing with Daddy
 Fishing with Papa
All the Fishermen! (Jackson wouldn't take his eyes off the fish.)
He had to help get the hook out of the fish too!
Jackson wanted to cast his own line into the water. He could do it, but he was a little wild and dangerous. He caught Brian's shorts one time. After that we all stood 30 feet back when he was about to cast.
Brian couldn't be happier his son loves to fish!
Jackson loved fishing so much he didn't even want to leave to go home and EAT.
 My little fisherman and me!
Jackson caught at least 20 fish in the time we were there. I would say that is a successful 1st fishing trip!
