Brothers

There are some days Lincoln reminds us a lot of Jackson and other days when we see no resemblance.

Here they both are at 7 months.
Jackson was 9 months at Christmas time and Lincoln was 7 months.

I am not sure they look like each other, but I DO know that Jackson is great big brother. Lincoln already looks up to him and smiles when ever he sees Jackson.
Love these pictures of them

Big Brother, Little Brother

My Boys
"Little boys come in all shapes and sizes,
Shy and adventurous, full of surprises,
With misshapen halos and mischievous grins,
Small dirty faces, and sweet, sticky chins."
"They'll keep you so busy, and yet all the while
Nothing can brighten the world like their smile.
And no greater treasure has brought homes more joy
Than a curious, active, and lovable boy!"

Jackson has exceeded my expectations of being a big brother.
Even after a month he is still always thinking of Lincoln, giving him kisses, and wanting Lincoln to be right by him. Of course, there are some meltdowns and periods of jealousy from Jackson but overall I am so proud of how well Jackson is adjusting!
Praying this big brother and little brother are the best of friends all of their lives.

BIG Brother

Jackson has been praying for Lincoln everyday since we told him he would be having a baby brother. He has been so excited to meet and Lincoln and predicted he would be born on Mother's Day. He was pretty close. I couldn't wait to see Jackson's reaction when he met Lincoln.

Brian picked up Jackson and on his back to the hospital he told Jackson we had a big brother present for him. Jackson responded with, "I don't need anything, I have Lincoln." And then 20 seconds later, "But Dad, can I still have the present?"

He was completely smitten from the time he walked into the room and saw him. "Mom, I love him 20 million!"

I pray these boys grow up to be best friends and take care of one another.
We thought Jackson might get bored at the hospital so we had the iPad ready for him to play on. Jackson never once complained or asked to go home. He sat near Lincoln or asked to hold him the entire time. Jackson even got jealous when others would hold him. Lincoln cried once and Jackson said, "He just needs his big brother to hold him."
Playing Candy Land- This was his big brother present and he loves it.
Jackson's world has been changed forever, but overall he is adjusting well and doing great.
Our first picture of a family of four. We are blessed beyond measure!
