Packer Surprise

Brian surprised me with tickets to the Packer playoff game against the Cowboys.
We left at 6am Sunday morning and headed to Arlington.

We wanted to get there early, because we weren't sure how long it would take to pick up our tickets and parking pass. We had no problems at all, except people joking with us that they couldn't help Packer fans! :)

We went and ate lunch at the Twisted Root. Fun atmosphere and great hamburgers!

We parked a block away and headed over to the stadium pretty early.

Can you spot us?

Inside AT&T stadium before the game!
A nice Cowboy fan took our picture:)

LOVE!

It was such a great game!! Packers were on fire the first half, let the Cowboys come back and tie it up in the second half. We could hardly watch the last field goal!
SO fun to be surrounded by Cowboy fans and come away with a win!

I'm still smiling thinking about the game, especially the fact that a week goal we were so worried about Brian, and then I got to experience such a great game with him!
God is good!

After the game Packer fans were high-fiving everyone as we walked down. It was sprinkling on the walk back to our car, good thing we were only a block away because by the time we got to the car it started pouring. Then on the drive to the hotel, it started hailing, and tornado sirens were going off. Super crazy and scary!

What a wonderful memory, I will cherish this time forever!
GO PACK GO!

Thanksgiving Break Day 2

Sundays in WI= Packer Game Day and we had tickets!
Brian's coworker has Packer season tickets and gave us his four tickets to the game.
Brian, Mel, Dad, and me went to the game. We left early that morning and stopped and had breakfast before heading up to the game. The windchill was -9 and the walk to the stadium was a chilly one. But, once inside our boxseats we were nice and cozy. No need for coats, hats, gloves, or toe warmers.
We enjoyed the game from our comfy leather chairs with our free popcorn. The Packers themselves weren't too impressive. Rodgers was out injured and the game ended in a tie.
It was so much fun hanging out with my favorite guys for the day cheering on the Pack!
Just for the record: On this trip to WI I pumped in the car more times than I can count...so awkward!

Friday Night Foodball

Jackson has been talking about going to a football game with Papa since he got this football shirt about a month ago. Last night, we told him we were going to go to a game with Papa. He was excited, but he wouldn't put his clothes back on. He was really upset with us until I realized why. Since the shirt was long sleeve and the fall weather hasn't quite arrived, we just rolled up the sleeves and wore it with some shorts.
We went for dinner and frozen yogurt before the game. The highschool were Jackson will go in 13 years (if we don't move) was playing so we sat on their side. Jackson couldn't wait to get into the stadium.
His enthuasium changed to pouts when he realized he couldn't go on the field and play with them. I imagine Brian and I might spend many Friday nights in these bleachers once Jackson is older.
We moved all the way down to the front, and then he found a little bit of interest in the game.
Right before half-time I realized the other team was my friend's husband's team. I knew she would be in the stands since he has to be there to coach. Brian and I walked to the other side and were actually able to find her. I also ran into another sweet friend too. God knew I needed to see both of them last night!
He got restless and bored of course! Grandma took him for a walk, and Papa bought him some Kettle corn. Those things helped him last until half-time!
