Thanksgiving Break Day 2

Sundays in WI= Packer Game Day and we had tickets!
Brian's coworker has Packer season tickets and gave us his four tickets to the game.
Brian, Mel, Dad, and me went to the game. We left early that morning and stopped and had breakfast before heading up to the game. The windchill was -9 and the walk to the stadium was a chilly one. But, once inside our boxseats we were nice and cozy. No need for coats, hats, gloves, or toe warmers.
We enjoyed the game from our comfy leather chairs with our free popcorn. The Packers themselves weren't too impressive. Rodgers was out injured and the game ended in a tie.
It was so much fun hanging out with my favorite guys for the day cheering on the Pack!
Just for the record: On this trip to WI I pumped in the car more times than I can count...so awkward!

Thanksgiving Break Day 1

We spent the last week in Wisconsin with our families.
We flew out early Saturday morning and because of crazy circumstances my friend Sam ended up on our flight frying standby. It was fun to see her (we all look so tired)!

Jackson enjoyed the free movies on the plane, and Lincoln did okay. He fussed, slept, and played some on the flight.
Once we landed in Chicago we had a 2 1/2 hour drive to our hometown. It was the coldest day of the year so far. The wind we felt walking to the car almost took my breath away. It is always such a shock at first.
Lincoln wasn't too sure about the snow at first,
but he realized it felt good on his teeth coming in!
We're not in Houston anymore! Brrr!
I was able to stop by my friends Beth's baby shower and say hi to some friends from high school. Oh the fun times that we had together, great memories. It was nice to see them and have them meet my boys for a bit.

The rest of the evening we laid low and rested at my parents house. Traveling with 2 little boys is a bit exhausting ;)!

The Soccer Season

Soccer was fun and exciting, but also time consuming (every Tuesday evening and Saturday morning for the last 10 weeks were spent up at church for soccer)!

The season came to an end this weekend!
Jackson and his soccer team.
Jackson did a great job for his first time playing soccer. We need to get him a little more aggressive on offense, he would always run back for defense. He said he enjoyed playing and didn't want anyone to score on them!
He loves his trophy, Lincoln too!
I'm glad we let him play Upwards. It is a great program that is centered on Christ and applying faith principles to life and soccer. Brian did a great job as coach too!

Memorizing Scripture V2:22

Psalm 81:10 "I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it."

I have so many "Egypts" and time and time again He is the One who sees and walks me through it. I am so thankful and need to be filled with more of Him.

Six Months of Lincoln

Half a year already? It can't be!
I don't feel like much has changed this last month with him. He is getting stronger and almost sitting up by himself. He rolls and moves himself all over the floor and play mat.
He weighs 16 pounds 15 ounces and is 27.5 inches. He goes to the doctor next week. He is wearing 3-6 month, 9 month, and some 12 month clothes, still size 3 diapers.
He loves to eat food even more now! He has now had peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, and acorn and butternut squash for dinner. Everything has to be mixed with prunes to help with constipation. He still nurses once when he wakes up in the morning and then drinks 6-7 ounces every 3 hours.
His feet and paper are new obsessions, he wants them both in his mouth. I think he is teething, but I haven't felt any teeth yet. He got his first ear infection this last week.
His sleeping habitats are about the same. He goes down for bed between 8 and 9 and sleeps until 5 or 6. He usually takes a short cat nap around 7:30, a nap around 10, another nap around 2, and a short cap nap before bed. He wakes up smiling and talking to us.
Lincoln,
You are growing so fast. I love it and at the same time it makes me a little sad. It actually feels like you have been part of our family forever. You are such a sweet boy, and I smile just thinking about you. You love being outside and taking walks in your stroller. It is easy to make you smile and laugh. Jackson cares so much about you, looks for you first thing in the morning, and loves to play with you. You two are going to have so much fun together when your bigger. I pray that the happiness and all the smiles you have never diminish, but grow bigger as you learn about how much Jesus loves you. I am so thankful He chose you for us!
Love, Mommy

A Day At The Farm

Jackson and I had the best day! I took off work and went with him on a field trip. We went with his preschool from last year. Our first attempt was rained out, but today was absolutely beautiful! (Brian was going to come along but stayed home with Lincoln.)

At the farm waiting for his friends

Hayride

Victorie and him were inseparable, so cute! There are a bunch of fun activities to do.
Cow train, fort, bouncing pillow, pvc slides

He was loving every second!

Duck races, spider webs, pedal tractors, play area

Love him!

Rope swing- Whee!

More fun!

I am so thankful I was able to take the day off and spend it with Jackson. It is fun watching him get so excited, playing with friends, and being so sweet. I love creating these memories with him!
Blessed!

Weekend High Five

1) The boys all ready for picture day at school. Love those faces!

2.) For two weeks, Jackson has been looking forward to Screen on the Green. A local church projected The Croods on a big screen Friday night. So fun!

3.) Saturday morning soccer game. I haven't showered for one game. Impressive, huh?:)

4.) After church on Sunday, we soaked up the beautiful weather together. Notice the soccer ball? It goes everywhere with us!

5.) Poor Lincoln had a low grade fever which we thought was from teething. When his fever spiked higher we took him and found out he has an ear infection. Poor little guy!

Memorizing Scripture V2:21

Proverbs 4:24 "When you lie down, you will not be afraid, when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet." ....v26 "for the Lord is your security.

I am again amazed at the way the Lord works out and cares for every little detail. I had taken a personal day last Wednesday to go on a field trip with Jackson. We woke up to severe storms and the field trip was cancelled. Jackson was bummed. I also woke up with a 102.5 fever, achy body, and chills. I had mastitis. I wouldn't have been able to go on the field trip even if it hadn't rained. I already had a sub so no need to worry about getting sub plans done. Brian came home to take the boys to daycare and bring home my prescription my doctor had called in. The field trip is rescheduled and now Brian can come too!

When I lay down to go to sleep many things run through my mind; things I need to do, didn't do, what ifs but the great thing is that God is not worried about any of it, and I shouldn't be either.

Trick or Treating

Captain America has had a busy week!

We had so much fun trick or treating last night. The Yangs joined us as tradition would have it. Titus and Lincoln was happy to be along for the ride.
Lincoln wore the same skeleton pajamas that Jackson wore his first Halloween.
Daddy and his two x-rays:
Jackson and his friend Noah ran from house to house. They had a blast together!
Holidays are so much more fun with kids!
