Father's Day

We had a great day celebrating Brian.
Of course, we are thankful for him everyday!
He is such a good daddy to our boys!
He goes to work each day, picks the boys up from daycare, plays with them, helps me around the house, takes care of the outside, helps put them to bed, and prays for them.
We had a fun afternoon at Bahama Bucks.
We also went bowling together.
What an important role a father plays in the life of a child, and I am so thankful my boys have the best!

Lincoln's Surgery

Lincoln had surgery last Wednesday. He had to have a hypospadias done. We were downtown at the Children's Hospital by 6:00am. Our neighbors watched Jackson so he didn't have to sit there with us.
We tried to keep him occupied playing and his mind off eating. Not the easiest thing to do with a 12 month old!
We prayed over Lincoln before they took him back. He left screaming as they carried him away from us. That was an awful feeling, my hurt broke! So thankful we don't spend a majority of our days here.

The surgery only lasted 1 hour and he was doing well after surgery. He drank 10 ounces of milk, and then fussed until they unhooked him and let me walk around with him.

Once we were in the car (by 11 o'clock) and he had his goldfish, then he was happy. A boy needs his food!
He was so funny on the way home, laughing like crazy!

His procedure looks awful, but it doesn't seem to be bothering him at all. Praise Jesus! The hardest is going to be keeping him out of the pool for 3 weeks.
Thank you for your prayers!

Last Day of School

We made it to the end of another school year! Can we all say AMEN!

Look how much Lincoln has grown, oh my!

Jackson and Lincoln both had a great year at ELC.
We could not have asked for better teachers for both of the boys. Mr. Patrick loved on Lincoln like a son and made me feel like Lincoln was his top priority.
Jackson loved Ms. Eunice, and we loved her patience with and encouragement for Jackson.
I finished my 8th year of teaching and packed up my room on Friday. I had a wonderful year and loved my students so much. I would have cried more on Thursday, but I am looping to 2nd grade with my students next year! I couldn't be more excited!
I picked the boys up early on Friday, and we headed straight to Sonic to get a slush to celebrate the beginning of summer!!
Watch out summer, here we are!

PreK Graduation

Last week Jackson had his PreK Graduation. He was so excited about it, and wouldn't share any secrets with us a head of time!:)

They started with the pledges and circle time songs.

Next, was a Pet the Cat Rocking in my School Shoes song. It was the cutest thing ever! Jackson is so serious during a program and does everything just like he was taught.

Finally, it was time to walk across the stage! :)
 Cutest kid ever!

Jackson and his teachers did a great job, but it did get long and this is what Lincoln thought about it!

I really can't believe he is already big enough for Kindergarten, but I am so excited for him to come to school with me. I am grateful that we will get to be together!
But, we will enjoy every minute of summer first!
