#hartzeveryday2015 Week 21

Day 141: Jackson is a reading machine, and Lincoln is just happy to be doing whatever his big brother is doing!

Day 142: Fueling up for his first swim meet tomorrow.

Day 143: Super proud of my swimmer! He took first in freestyle with a time of 23 seconds and first in backstroke with a time of 31 seconds.

Day 144: Playing with friends.
That morning there was a tornado warning so we woke the boys up early and went downstairs to our bathroom. Jackson thought it would be a good idea to read his Bible. Lincoln was watching Paddington Bear:)

Day 145: Happy Memorial Day!

Day 146: Crazy weather in Houston means flooding galore, no school, and time to finish my end of year gifts for my students!

Day 147: Jackson learned over 50 Bible verses this year in Awana!

#hartzeveryday2015 Week 20

Day 134: Lincoln loved everything about turning 2!

Day 135: Enjoying the day off and lunch at Newks with my love!

Day 136: Great party day, Happy Birthday Lincoln!

Day 137: After causing all kinds of problems...we got Jackson registered for swim team. He had to do his time trials today. His jammers crack me up! Can't wait to watch him race.

Day 138: Amen! Sometimes parenting (and life) is tough, and I'm not super mom. I only survive the day with His strength and promises.

Day 139: It was termination trial day, but unfortunately the judge never showed and we have to reschedule again for the trial and to meet the kids.  We are praying in the waiting!

Day 140: I don't think Lincoln minds tagging along to Jackson's swim team practices:)

Lincoln's Clubhouse

Lincoln loves to party (and eat cake)!
We celebrated on his real birthday with Mickey cupcakes.

Saturday we invited a few friends over to celebrate Lincoln's birthday with us.
We reused the sign from last year.
Lincoln's Clubhouse, Oh "two" dles, Hot Diggity Dog, Come inside it's fun inside
 Food table
We had Hot diggity dogs, Pluto punch, Chips and Dale, Pete's treats, and Minnie's Mix:)
When I asked Lincoln what he wanted for his birthday, without hesitation he responded "Cake!"

So, that what he got! A huge Mickey cake:)

We swam, ate, and had cake. Lincoln's two best buds were there, so I know he had a great time!

Happy 2nd Birthday Lincoln!

Memorizing Scripture V3:10

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in ALL ways acknowledge him and He will make your paths straight."

I am trusting in the one who is greater, and I am at peace. There are a few big things on the calendar in the next week. Please pray for God's will and for him to be glorified.

I know His ways are better than mine. I love seeing the ways things come together when I trust him with ALL my heart. He makes me stronger!

2 Years of Lincoln

Happy 2nd Birthday Lincoln!!
You are full of life, animated, strong willed, tough, and oh so sweet! You give the best hugs and have the sweetest voice when you say "Thank you" and "Sorry". You hold your ground against your brother and often make him cry. You know and say a lot of words. My favorite is when you say "I carry you" meaning you want us to pick you up and carry you.:) You are about 35 (75%) inches tall and 28 (60) pounds. You are a solid boy that likes his snacks!:)
You have brought so much joy, thankfulness, laughter, and tears into our lives since the day you were born. I still can't look at you or think about your life without giving God praise and remembering how faithful He is! You are a Mommy's boy and are attached to my hip most days after school.
You love Mickey, swimming, bike rides, playing at the park, Titus and Jacob, wrestling with Jackson and Daddy just to name a few.

Lincoln,
You are my sunshine! I love you to the moon and back and am so thankful God chose me to be your Mommy. I pray you use your zeal for life and strong will to do big things for God's glory. Thank you for loving me and making me laugh on a daily basis. I want you to know I pray for you daily, and I will always love you unconditionally! Happy Birthday sweet boy!
Love, Mommy

#hartzeveryday2015 Week 18

Day 120: My students did an amazing job hosting Poetry Cafe for their parents and grandparents today!

Day 121: (May 1) Friday night make up game. Great hits and 1 out for my favorite baseball player!

Day 122: Impromptu stop at the Splash Pad today on our bike ride. We needed to cool down!

Day 123: I came down to get Lincoln breakfast, and Jackson had gotten the clothes out of the dryer and was folding them. I didn't ask him. I'm thinking this chore chart is awesome! Maybe I should add make dinner:)

Day 124: Had to bring this sweet boy home from school after he threw up several times under my table (he was resting). Poor guy!

Day 125: Nothing better than rocking my little guy (love how he holds my hand), especially after 12 hours at school.

Day 126: Book fair shopping with my boy! Love having him at school with me. :)

Memorizing Scripture V3:9

Jeremiah 17:7 "But, blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him."

I love what my devotional said about confidence the other night.
Insecurity says, I can't
Confidence in God says, I can because God will show me how!

I need this verse stamped on my heart. It's not my perfect performance that captures God's attention- it's my complete trust in and dependence on Him.

#hartzeveryday2015 Week 17

Day 113: We got to pick up Lincoln today! Love seeing my boys after work, best part of my day!

Day 114: Sure is fun shopping for girls!

Day 116: They have my heart!
