Moody Gardens Part 3

The boys swam before bed and again in the morning!

What boy doesn't love a new stuffed animal and hot chocolate in bed?
Of course Lincoln picked a sea lion, and Jackson a seal.

Sweet boy with the fastest sea lion Flash :)

We returned to the Aquarium again the next day specifically for the sting rays and sea lions!

Back through the Rain forest as well to spot new animals.

Lincoln kept calling this bird a pecan instead of a pelican and each time Jackson gave us the scientific name from his brochure. :)

The weather was cold and rainy, but the sun came out before we left so the boys were able to do a quick run of the ropes course.

Brian and Jackson on the big course.

Lincoln was excited they had one his size!

Jackson worked his way all the way to the top and back down again!

All the fun Moody Gardens has to offer, we had and then some! We packed a lot of activities into two days! But, we couldn't leave Galveston without stopping at LaKings Confectionery!
I'm so thankful for some fun family time away from home and all the memories made before we head back to school!

Moody Gardens Part Two

Ice Land
Good thing we took the parkas they offered us, because even with  them and our own winter coats we were still freezing! 9 degrees is colder than you think!

The ice sculptures were incredible!

We enjoyed walking around and admiring the beauty of the art. Such talent!

Lincoln and a sea lion :)

The best thing is there were no lines and wasn't crowded at all!!

But, the boys favorite of Ice Land was by far the ice slides! We all raced each other several times and the boys couldn't get enough. SO much fun!

Back to ice skating we went! :)

Moody Gardens Part 1

Brian surprised us all with a trip to Moody Gardens with a night at the hotel and unlimited attractions. We headed down first thing Wednesday morning and wasted no time heading to the Rain forest Pyramid.

The only family picture of the trip!

Lincoln was truly fascinated by everything. He loved being the one to point out new animals and the first to see new things!

In the canopy

Who's that talking behind us? :)

From the Rain forest we went to the 4D theater to see Sharks and later Rudolph.

Next up was ice skating!!
We skated 3 times while we were at Moody Gardens. The boys couldn't get enough.

We even ice skated together for a few uninterrupted minutes. :)
Love him most!

For future sake, I have to mention the disgusting skates. They were the wettest, stinkiest, and dullest skates ever. Brian and I hated putting them on and tying them. Your hands and feet stunk after. But nothing soap and hand sanitizer can't fix after and the boys had a blast!

Next up, the Aquarium Pyramid!
We spent a majority of our time with the sting rays. Lincoln loved touching them with a two finger touch!

Such a cool aquarium!

Shark tunnel

Lincoln couldn't get enough of the sea lion and Jackson loved the seals. We spent a lot of time watching them swim around.

Wiki stick fun at dinner!

Thank goodness for some entertainment because service was SLOW!
