TAGS-Texas Age Group Championships is something 14 and under swimmers work for each year. For them, it is the highest meet they can attend!
Fleet team ready for TAGS
Headed out for 4 days of swimming at University of Texas
No matter the outcome of any swim race we are always Jackson's #1 Fans!
Jackson qualified for all 12 events at TAGS, but you are only allowed to swim 7 individual events.
On Thursday, he was the 200 IM and 100 Free.
He took 1st in the 200 IM by 5 seconds! That was my favorite race of the whole weekend, he was incredible! He took 4th in the 100 Free.
If you are the TAGS champion in the 200 IM you get to pick dinner.:)
Day 2- On Friday he swam the 200 Free and 50 Breast.
Each day was prelims in the morning, and then back to the pool for finals at night.
Jackson took 3rd in the 200 Free and 4th in the 50 Breast.
He also swam the 400 Free Relay, and his team took 1st!
Jackson, Clark, Jack, and Cayden
On Saturday between prelims and finals we went to the Austin Aquarium.
It was smaller, but really pretty cool since most of it was interactive and you could touch almost all the animals.
We loved holding the parrots!
On Saturday, Jackson only had one individual event. He swam the 100 Breast and took 4th. But, he broke the 29 year old Fleet record!!!
And, his team swam the 200 Free relay and took 1st once again!
Jack, Cayden, Jackson, Clark
Celebrating with a shake from P. Terry's!
Day 4- On Sunday, Jackson swam the 100 Back and 50 Free.
It was a LONG weekend for Lincoln!
Love watching my boy swim!
Jackson took 5th in the 100 Back. He was seeded 1st in the 50 Free heading into finals, but took 4th. 1st-4th were all .02 apart, so close!!
His team swam the 200 Medley that night, took 1st, and broke the team record!!
The 10 and Under boys took 1st place!!
Fleet took 4th overall.
I’m so thankful we were all able to be there to watch and cheer him on and the talent God has given him! He gave it his all, learned great life lessons, lost his voice from cheering for his teammates and friends, and has new goals to hit! We ❤️watching him swim!
